When they began the business, the popularized trends such as the famous beatnik look, safari jackets, tight pants and tall thigh-high boots. And not to forget the arguably most famous tuxedo suit for women in fashion history, "Le Smoking" suit. Yves Saint-Laurent closed the illustrious haut couture house of YSL in 2002 and has from then on lived through Gucci Group.

Seeing as Ryan Seacrest always has about a million projects going at once it may not come as such a surprise that he managed to save up for a new Bentley cab. The American Idol-host was spotted running errands in Westwood yesterday and took the chance to show off the new, very expensive black sports car. He was also carrying two bags, one of which was from Yves Saint Laurent and costs at least $1500!

Justin Timberlake spends money in Paris!

Pop star Justin Timberlake is in Paris with his entourage at the moment and yesterday he spent the day shopping away in the luxury stores! Timberlake had lunch at the Relais de l'Entrecote first before visiting Louise Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy and Chanel on Champs Elysées. The singer also stopped to sign autographs and chat to his French fans that went crazy when they saw him! Justin's girlfriend Jessica Biel was not with him but if she's lucky she might get a present from one of the stores Justin visisted!

The pint-sized Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria is in Paris on vacation with her hubby Tony Parker and yesterday she did some shopping on Rue Faubourg Saint Honoré. Eva visited both Gerard Darel and Yves Saint Laurent and emerged from both stores with big shopping bags in her hands. She didn't have to carry the bags too far though as she had an assistant with her who carried them for her, what a superstar!

Celebrities like Eva Mendes, Anna Wintour and Leighton Meester were apparently in the mood for opera yesterday as they attended the Metropolitan Operas opening night gala for Donizettis La Fille du Regiment! The party was sponsored by the luxury brand Yves Saint Laurent which of course meant that everyone was dressed in fabulous YSL clothing! Everyone looked fantastic but Elettra Wiedemann looked especially beautiful in her white dress and gorgeous black wedges!
