Worst Dressed At The Met Gala

We know a lot Kristen Stewart fans will hate us for putting her on the worst dressed list but seriously! This look is so basic! It's doesn't scream "gala" but "movie premiere." She could've tired a bit harder.

Dakota Fanning in a lavender Louis Vuitton tulle and organza gown. This looks is a bit boxy and way too young for Dakota. She needs to stop dressing like she's a fairy princess. Elizabeth Banks in Mary Katrantzou. This is just weird, too much going on. Carey Mulligan was the co-hosted the event alongside Anna Wintour. It's not that her look is terrible, it's just that it doesn't do anything for us. We aren't big fans of the halter neck on her Prada dress and her hair looks way dated. This droopy, oversized Alexander McQueen dress on Florence Welch is all kinds of awful. And the most boring dressed couple of the night: Jessica Biel (in Prada) and Justin Timberlake (in Tom Ford). They even pose boring, but check out her engagement ring! Karolina Kurkova in a Rachel Zoe design. Kirsten Dunst in an office-chic look by Rodarte. Seriously Lana Del Ray....? Her Joseph Altuzarra gown reminds us of Dracula. We love Rosie Huntington-Whiteley but she looks soooo boring here. The dress also reminds us winter, not spring/summer!

6. Busy Philipps grey gown doesn't belong to the Oscars. It's a nice dress, but not for the red carpet!

5. Natalie Portman was dressed in a Christian Dior Haute Couture vintage gown. Dots on the red carpet? Big no, no! 4. Are Judy Greer on her way to Vegas? That dress makes us think so! 3. Michelle Williams in a Louis Vuitton gown, hate that thing in the waist. Looks like a top and a skirt. And that pink clutch bag doesn't make it better! 2. Meryl Streep's is dressed in gold from top to toe. This Lanvin gown looks like a curtain, and Meryl is drowning in it! 1. The "Bridesmaids" star, Melissa McCarthy was dressed in a custom made Marina Rinaldi dress. This dress is not flattering at all, it's to draped and it makes Melissa look bigger. She looks like miss piggy!
One of the things we love about the Academy Awards is the fashion! All of the A-listers were there, but them all didn't look so good. We saw some hits and some serious misses. Best and Worst Dressed At the Golden Globes!

Elle Macpherson stuns in Zac Posen. George Clooney and Stacy Keibler- yes they're still together. Her dres is pretty but really boring. Sarah Michelle Geller in Monique Lhullier. It looks like her 2 year old daughter picked out her dress...oh wait she did! Zooey Deschanel in Prada. At first we didn't like the look, but it's grown on us and is totally Zooey. We love her hair too! Charlize Theron was on the best dressed list in Dior Haute Couture. Salma Hayek in Gucci. Selma looks like an art deco goddess. We love Mary J. Blige but it looks like she's wearing a teddy bear and the top of her dress doesn't fit so well. Claire Danes went for simple in a black and white J. Mendel gown- we love it! What we love even more, the bare back! Nicole Richie wears Julien Macdonald. We're not crazy about this look. It looks a bit like tin foil.
We love the Golden Globes, they're like the Oscar's cool cousin who dresses extremely chic but also really trendy. The Golden Globes are bit more relaxed, way more fun, and are a total party. Since the pressure of winning an Oscar isn't a factor, you can tell that all of the celebs are having genuine fun. One of the things we love best about the Golden Globes is the fashion! There are some serious hits and some even more serious misses. Like Angelina Jolie stepped out of her usual black and stunned a white and red Atelier Versace number, whereas Sarah Michelle Gellar made us cringe! Worst Dressed Celebs of 2011!

Boho queen, Vanessa Hudgens, in a snakeskin print mini dress, a beaded headband, and a fringed jacket. This look is too much, even by boho standards.

We applaud Jessica Biel for taking a fashion risk, but this blue, velvet Gucci suit is too much. The monotone blue and the heavy velvet distracts us from the real star: Jessica. If anyone should wear a cut out dress it's Halle Berry, but this Halston dress reminds us of something from a pre-historic era. Gossip Girl's, Jessica Szhor, committed a huge fashion crime! While playsuits were huge this summer, this paisley printed Alice + Olivia one was too distracting and did nothing to flatter Jessica's figure. Another victim of the romper trend is Kourtney Kardashian, who wore her's with a tight bun. The balance of volume is so off in this look. Just when she starts to get her groove back, Katie Holmes made one of the biggest fashion mistakes in 2011. We really dislike her pairing of the Proenza Schouler snub-nose ankle booties with the Azzedine Alaia halter dress. We're pretty sure that Annalynne McCord did not enlist the help of a stylist for this look, which goes to show that even the most gorgeous celebs can lack fashion sense! Evan Rachel Wood in a Gucci leather dress. Too much red, too much leather. Elizabeth Olsen may have the most stylish sisters in Hollywood (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen) but doesn't mean she's exempt from fashion failure. Elizabeth in a Chanel Spring 2012 Couture dress and champagne Christian Louboutin heels. Jersey Shore's, Snooki, is constantly making huge fashion mistakes. Once she ditches the over-use of animal print and fake tan, we're sure she'll be one fierce fashionista.
In 2011 we saw a lot of our favorite celebrities make many fashion mistakes. Some were rookie mistakes and others are just a case of bad styling (personal or professional, it can be hard to tell). This year's greatest misses came from Evan Rachel Wood in her maroon Gucci leather dress, Katie Holmes pairing a Azzedine Alaia halter dress with Proenza Schouler booties, and Jessica Biel in her blue, velvet Gucci suit. After witnessing these celebrity's fashion flaws, the most important fashion advice we can give is: wear what looks best on you, even if it's not trendy, you'll still feel incredibly confident and stylish.

Nicki Minaj in Versace Resort 2012. Not our favorite look. Uma Thurman is sexy and beautiful, but the length on this Atelier Versace dress really bothers us. We wish it was just a bit shorter and fell at her knees instead of ankles. Once again Leona Lewis disappoints in this weird pants suit. What is Kat Graham thinking? Pixie Lott channels her inner mod, but the eyeliner is too much and her hair looks like a mushroom. Sarah Jessica Parker wore Louis Vuitton Spring 2012. This look is just too young for her. Maybe it would look better and more age appropriate in a different color? Oh Hilary Swank! Hilary channels her inner ice skater which she also paired with tiger heels...really?! We love Rashida Jones, so it's always unfortunate to see her in bad clothes. This dress is terrible. We don't know what's off on this look that Christina Hendricks is wearing. Maybe it's the sweater? A simple red dress would've look so much better!

This Week's Worst Dressed Celebs!

This black and white cut out Donna Karan dress on Ashley Greene is kind of the worst thing ever.

Maybe it's the angle, but this dress makes Leona Lewis look a lot bigger than she actually is! We really hate this Micheal Kors Resort 2012 dress on Nikki Reed. She looked much better in neon on our Best Dressed List. Bad hair, bad colors, bad socks, bad look, bad Bip Ling. We're all for dip dye hair, but this look reminds us of a unicorn princess. Go to a new hairstylist, Lacey Schwimmer. We usually love Jamie Chung's looks, but the socks shortened her legs and the boots are ill-matched. Two words: denim shorts. Never wear denim shorts on the red carpet, Shenae Grimes should know better. Emmanuelle Chriqui's look is a bit too matchy-matchy for us. And here is Ashley again! It looks like she made this dress herself. It's Narciso Rodriguez Spring 2012. Terrible. We love Tilda Swinton and we usually love her style, but this look isn't our fave. She's wearing a Haider Ackermann outfit and it's too much satin.
Weird cut-out, space-age angles, and neon colors made the list for worst dressed. Some of the clothes we saw on our fave celebs were so strange, like Ashley Greene, who made the list twice because of her unfortunate outfit choices. Click on the pics to see more of this week's worst dressed!
