The Valentino Fashion Group S.p.A was founded by the italian designer Valentino Garavani when he opened a sumptuous fashion house on Via Condotti in Rome with his father by his side. It was when the entrepreneurial skill of long-time boyfriend Giancarlo Giammetti came to Valentino's rescue that the company started to blossom after being in a financial crisis. The international debut and breakthrough took place in 1962 in Florence where their first show at the Pitti Palace was considered as a true revelation as the young couturier Valentino was submerged by foreign jet set customers. The company has rosen successfully ever since.

Daisy Lowe and Leigh Lezark made a super stylish fashionista couple at Paris Fashion Week! 6. Swedish star Malin Akerman is becoming one of the best dressed women in Hollywood these days! 5. Selena Gomez is growing into this elegant, gorgeous, glam star right now, we are loving everything she has worn lately! 4. Nicole Richie goes to Europe and nails the fashionista look! We love her in all these layers and textures, prints and especially those killer heels! 3. Blake Lively in Chanel. This is why the fashion house loves her so much, she is a perfect fit for the clothes! 2. Miranda Kerr is a model on duty at Paris Fashion Week and looking fabulous doing it too! 1. This is why we love Alexa Chung so much. She always has something new and fresh going on. Just as you get used to her wardrobe, bam! She changes it up and re-inspires!

Melissa Leo wore a floral crochet/cut out short-sleeved Mark Bouwer gown...we don't love it really...but its not so horrible either... Everyone says Jennifer Lawrence was a knockout in this red Calvin Klein, we think she could've done more Amy Adams in blue sequinned L'Wren Scott. We love the dress but the jewelry was all wrong Cate Blanchett went all high fashion in this complicated textured dress from Givenchy's latest collection Jennifer Hudson was dramatic in this statement burnt orange Versace Gwyneth Paltrow, we loved! This metallic Calvin Klein is a perfect fit for her Natalie Portman was adorable mommy-to-be in this berry colored Rodarte dress Scarlett Johansson Dolce & Gabbana dress, in a similar color to Natalie's kind of kicked ass, but Scarlett's hair ruined it for her! We hated this vintage Charles James on Marisa Tomei. Its probably a lovely dress, just not on her! Sharon Stone was totally overdone. She looked like the evil queen from snow white in this goth-like dress with the huge bouffant hairdo Break out young star Hailee Steinfeld again was perfect for her age in this soft pink Marchesa princess dress. So pretty! We loved Michelle Williams in this Chanel gown, but we are bored with her in this color and style Florence Welch in a yellow tiered gown, we were not impressed either Mandy Moore went for this romantic look in Monique Lhullier, but if it wasn't for that bright lipstick, the color would have washed her out Russell Brand brought his mom and she looked hot in lace! Helen Bonham Carter wore this kind of fugly gown by costume designer Collen Atwood Celine Dion looked a little out-dated in a white long sleeve Armani Prive gown Hugh Jackman is so hot, what is he doing with frumpy and strange-looking Deborra-Lee Furness? It must be love! Hilary Swank nailed it on the red carpet as usual in this sparkly Gucci gown with the feather details Wow Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz on the red carpet together! She is one hot mamma just a month after giving birth! Of all the fab Christian Dior gowns out there, why did Nicole Kidman choose this one? We hate the hair too! Helen Mirren perfect as usual in Vivienne Westwood Yay Halle Berry is back! This Marchesa gown was hot hot hot on her! Camila Alves went for simple and but still high drama with the full skirt. We love this look for her Christian Bale's girlfriend Sandra Blazic is the perfect date as she looked elegant without upstaging him with her dress Sandra Bullock in Vera Wang, we don't know why, but we are not excited, although there is nothing wrong and she looks good! Reese Witherspoon having a sixties moment in black Armani Prive Anne Hathaway in classic Valentino red. Gorgeous!
Maybe we were too excited about the Oscars and all the build up to the event, but we were kind of disappointed with the red carpet last night. We weren't totally amazed and blown away as usual! There was a great mixture of nudes, metallics, bright colors and strong black gowns, but nothing cutting edge or special. The girls who really stood out for us were, Gwyneth Paltrow, Halle Berry, Anne Hathaway and of course Mila Kunis, who had to be the night's best dressed...do you agree? Who did you love and hate? 8. Simple and chic doesn't have to take a whole lot of statement pieces in one look. Olivia Palermo looks comfy and luxe without trying too hard at all. We hope everyone has a furry collar for the Winter already! 7. Jessica Alba was adorable in this white tiered Valentino dress this week and we think the sleek, shorter hair is fab on her, even though it does make her a look a little older... 6. Jumpsuits are such a fun and funky alternative to a little party dress this season. Jessica Stroup looks edgy and trendy but still comfy. 5. Minka Kelly gave the stars of the movie Country Strong some serious competition for the spotlight on the red carpet at the premiere this week! We love this gold and black geometric patterned mini. It doesn't help that Minka could be Leighton's twin sister either! 4. Leighton Meester made a big statement in bright and cheerful Christian Dior at the Country Strong premiere. We are not sure about wearing Spring/Summer collections in the Winter, but in LA its probably ok... She looks amazing in all this color, don't you think? 3. Camilla Belle looks super sophisticated in this sculptured white dress. A true Hollywood businesswoman look. She is saying she is all grown up and its working for her! Well done! 2. Elle Fanning wearing a Rodarte look straight off the runway and she looks fab! We love it when stars dress appropriately for their age! This is fun and flirty, but still high fashion! 1. We are so in love with the menswear trend and we are just so inspired by the way Fearne Cotton has been wearing it lately! Just look how she makes it rock 'n roll with all these funky accessories!
