History: The Valentino Fashion Group S.p.A was founded by the italian designer Valentino Garavani when he opened a sumptuous fashion house on Via Condotti in Rome with his father by his side. It was when the entrepreneurial skill of long-time boyfriend Giancarlo Giammetti came to Valentino's rescue that the company started to blossom after being in a financial crisis. The international debut and breakthrough took place in 1962 in Florence where their first show at the Pitti Palace was considered as a true revelation as the young couturier Valentino was submerged by foreign jet set customers. The company has rosen successfully ever since.

Legendary fashion designer Valentino has retired and made a movie about his life and career. The movie is called Valentino; The Last Emperor and it premiered last night in LA. Of course all LA's most famous fashionistas like Rachel Zoe, Janice Dickinson, Anne Hathaway, Nicky Hilton and Shenae Grimes were there! Gwyneth Paltrow, who is very close with Valentino looked amazing in a hot pair of heels and short grey dress!
