Ok, so let's take a break from Paris Fashion Week for a sec (oh no she didn't...) and take a look at the ups and downs of Oscars fashion 2010. E! reported live from the red carpet and for some reason went bananas (yes, I know that's Rachel Zoe's word but she doesn't own it) over Charlize Theron's hideous Dior gown with what looked to be lilac paint hands on her...well, boobs. We don't think so. It was the perfect example of what not to wear at the Oscars, or anywhere else for that matter.

But let's give Charlize a break and move on because it's much more fun to focus on the real red carpet winners. Miley Cyrus may be as annoying as the Hannah Montana Show but she (her stylist) really knows how to pick 'em! That Jenny Packham dress was gorgeous and if Miley had just kept her mouth shut she might have passed for a real live Hollywood starlet. In close seconds were Zoe Saldana in a beautifully constructed Givenchy Couture gown, SJP and Diane Kruger in Chanel (it's hard to go wrong with Chanel though) and Nicole Richie's backless Reem Acra gown. Kristen Stewart was close to making the list in her Monique Lhuillier dress but black just won't cut it at the Oscars...yawn.

On the not-so-great list are Cameron Diaz and Sandra Bullock who looked like they hired the same stylist (and a lazy one at that; old Hollywood glamour has been done, and done, and done...), Demi Moore whose orange dress was practically the same color as her skin and James Cameron's wife Suzy Amis who, let's face it, just isn't young enough to wear a dress like that (I'm sorry, but it's true). Better luck next year ladies, I'm headed to the afterparties!

Update: I was surprised to find that Rachel Zoe styled both CD and Demi... I usually love her work, oh well.
