Iconic rock band U2 made history again on Sunday night as they became the first band to stream an entire live show live on youtube! Of course some of the band's celebrity friends were there to see the show and be part of the fun. Star couples like Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber, Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt aswell as fans Ben Stiller and even David Beckham were all there! What a party! Here are some of the highlights:

U2 was formed by then teenagers Bono (vocals and guitar), The Edge (guitar, keyboards and vocals), Adam Clayton (bass guitar) and Larry Mullen, Jr (drums and percussion). The band became a top international act by the mid 80's and were noted for there anthemic sound, unusual vocals and The Edge's textural guitar playing. Their live performances became a greater success than the actual selling records, what apparently increased the band's stature "from heroes to superstars", according to Rolling Stone. They have today sold more than 140 million (!) albums worldwide and were introduced into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame during their first year of eligibility. The group has also campaigned for numerous causes such as DATA, ONE Campaign and Amnesty International.

BBC Radio has been forced to apologise for Bono and his dirty mouth live on the air! U2's frontman called Coldplay's Chris Martin a wanker and then a totally dysfunctional cretin. Big oops! Later Bono said he was only joking and thought that Chris was a great melodist and compared him with Paul McCartney, but the damage was already done. The poor radio host Jo Wiley was clearly very embarrassed afterwards! Listen to the whole thing here:

Bono and his band U2 are not happy! Their new album "No Line on the Horizon" has been leaked all over the internet and all because an Australian music website accidently started selling the songs a week early! Oops! getmusic.com in Australia say the songs were only up on the site for a few mins, but that is all it took for them to be grabbed up and distributed all over. Here is a taste:

U2's superstar Bono has been given the honour to take the godfather role of Angelina and Brad's twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline. After giving birth two weeks ago, Angelina, 33, and Brad, 44, spent a week bonding with their new bundles of joy at Bono's bolthole in a leafy village in the South of France. And in return for the kind gesture, the Hollywood couple have asked him to be a permanent fixture in the lives of their tots.
