Tamara Mellon worked for British Vogue back in 1990 and then went on to create the now legendary shoe brand Jimmy Choo shoes. The brand started from a simple old chinese man making beautiful shoes for Tamara to one of the major luxury shoe brands in the world.

Jimmy Choo's president Tamara Mellon is one of the celebrities who decided to end the year in style on St Barths and was spotted on a boat with friends yesterday afternoon. After the success that was Jimmy Choo for H&M we think Tamara deserves a vacation and the Caribbean is always a safe bet!

The Cinema Society of New York city held a special screening of a new movie called A Single Man, it is the latest project from fashion design icon Tom Ford, so as you can imagine, many of New York's best known celebs were there! Madonna was one of the guests at the screening and everyone could see she was dressed to impress! Madonna has recently moved back to New York City after her divorce from British director Guy Richie and we hope this means we are going to be seeing much more of the queen of pop on the city's social scene! Unless you have been in hiding for the last few months, you will know that legendary shoe and accessories brand Jimmy Choo has created a collection especially for clothing company H&M this Fall! The launch party was held at a private mansion in West Hollywood last night. Stars like The City's Whitney Port, Paris Hilton, her sister Nicky Hilton and Cat Dealey were all there to show their support and guess what: they were all wearing pieces from the collection, which goes on sale from November 14th. She is working on a collection of special shoes and handbags that will be matched to clothing from H&M: So you can stop dreaming and now own your own pair of Jimmy Choos! The collection will be available in select H&M stores in November this year. We are sure you are excited as we are! The amfAR Cinema Against AIDS 2008 gala took place in Cannes yesterday and attracted a number of Hollywood stars! Natalie Portman, Sharon Stone and Petra Nemcova were just a few of the beautiful women in beautiful gowns who walked the red carpet and everyone seemed to be happy to be there. The event raised funds for AIDS research and we think that's great. Anything that combines charity with Haute Couture is fine by us!

Christian Slater and his girlfriend Tamara Mellon were seen leaving Starbucks Coffee in New York yesterday and Christian seemed to be in a good mood smiling for the cameras. Christian used to be married to Ryan Haddon who was arrested on several occasions for being aggressive towards her husband (she threw a whiskey glass at him once). Ryan finally got a divorce and last year he met the co-founder of Jimmy Choo, Tamara Mellon who seems to be slightly more calm than Haddon; at least she doesn't hit Christian!
