History: Pop girl group which consisted of Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm, Geri Halliwell was according to BBC, the best-selling girl group of all time. Their debut single "Wannabe" in 1996 hit the number one spot on top lists in 31 countries , what was to be the beginning of their "global phenomenon". When Spice Girls later released their first album, "Spice", it sold over 23 million copies worldwide which clearly hit the records. With only three albums, the groups has managed to sell more than 60 million copies. The hysteria around the female group has been compared to the Beatlemania. Geri Halliwell left the group in 1998 in the middle of numerous rumours, bu the band kept going until 2000 to focus on their solo careers. Spice Girls re-formed in 2007 for their Reunion Tour as they launched their Greatest Hits-album.
Awards: Four BRIT Awards, three American Music Awards, three MTV Europe Music Awards, one MTV Video Music Awards and three World Music Awards.

Things are still going strong for ex Spice Girls singer Geri Halliwell and her British boyfriend Henry Beckwith! We saw them leaving the Adelphi theatre together last night all dressed up for a romantic date. These two still seem to be just as in love as they were about a year ago when they first started dating, which for Geri, the serial dater must be some kind of record. We think she might just have finally met her match!

Former Spice Girls singer Mel B launched a new vitamin water drink in London last night and we don't understand her choice of oufit! The little white dress wasn't so bad, but we are really not sure about the blonde wig! It wasn't even fitting on her head quite right! Maybe it has something to do with some of the upcoming commerical ads she will be doing as the face of drink? We hope so, otherwise she is headed straight to the fashion police! We way prefer her usual darker look!

We think they are going to be hilarious judges!

Get ready for Spice Girls: The Musical! We have just heard that former hit girl group The Spice Girls are getting together again! This time its not for a world tour though, its for a reality TV show. The ladies, Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Mel C and Mel B are in talks to be the panel of judges for a new show that will audition hopeful girls to play them in a West End show about the Spice Girls! The Spice Girls' manager is Simon Fuller, the man who came up with the idea for the hit reality show "Idol", so its sure to be a huge show! What do you think of hte idea? (Source: TheSun)

Does Victoria Beckham Think She Can Dance?

We just heard that former Spice girl Victoria Beckham is going to be a guest judge on the British version of hit dance show, "So You Think You Can Dance?". As a Spice Girl Victoria had to learn a lot of dance routines when the girl group performed in videos and on stage and even she admits that even though she worked hard at it, she was never the best dancer! So we are wondering how come she gets to a judge then? We did find these old pictures of Victoria as a young girl doing all types of dance routines from ballet to hip-hop and she did win some trophies, so maybe that qualifies her? What do you think?
