Australian actress Sophie Monk spent all day yesterday on the beach in Malibu where she worked on her tan and her surfing skills. Sophie, who was born in England but raised in Australia, looked great in her red polka-dotted bikini and we're sure the blond beauty stopped beach goers in their tracks as she used the outdoor shower to rinse off all the sand!

It seems Sophie Monk is finally doing something other than work out! She was seen on the set of her new movie Hard Breakers yesterday dressed in a short printed dress and a bathrobe while she waited to film her scenes. The movie is about two single girls in Los Angeles working the dating scene and we're guessing Sophie's looks probably helped when she auditioned for the part! We can't wait to see if this girl can really act!

Mischa Barton has been trying to avoid the spotlight since she was arrested for DUI but was photographed yesterday arriving in Sydney. Mischa will be one of the star presenters at the MTV Australia Awards this weekend following in the footsteps of fellow Hollywood stars Ashlee Simpson and Sophie Monk. The awards will be hosted by Wyclef Jean and Mischa will be handing out the award for Best Movie Star. The actress seemed very happy to come to Australia telling Insider that she was looking forward to meeting her fans and spending a few days in Sydney!
