Melissa Leo wore a floral crochet/cut out short-sleeved Mark Bouwer gown...we don't love it really...but its not so horrible either... Everyone says Jennifer Lawrence was a knockout in this red Calvin Klein, we think she could've done more Amy Adams in blue sequinned L'Wren Scott. We love the dress but the jewelry was all wrong Cate Blanchett went all high fashion in this complicated textured dress from Givenchy's latest collection Jennifer Hudson was dramatic in this statement burnt orange Versace Gwyneth Paltrow, we loved! This metallic Calvin Klein is a perfect fit for her Natalie Portman was adorable mommy-to-be in this berry colored Rodarte dress Scarlett Johansson Dolce & Gabbana dress, in a similar color to Natalie's kind of kicked ass, but Scarlett's hair ruined it for her! We hated this vintage Charles James on Marisa Tomei. Its probably a lovely dress, just not on her! Sharon Stone was totally overdone. She looked like the evil queen from snow white in this goth-like dress with the huge bouffant hairdo Break out young star Hailee Steinfeld again was perfect for her age in this soft pink Marchesa princess dress. So pretty! We loved Michelle Williams in this Chanel gown, but we are bored with her in this color and style Florence Welch in a yellow tiered gown, we were not impressed either Mandy Moore went for this romantic look in Monique Lhullier, but if it wasn't for that bright lipstick, the color would have washed her out Russell Brand brought his mom and she looked hot in lace! Helen Bonham Carter wore this kind of fugly gown by costume designer Collen Atwood Celine Dion looked a little out-dated in a white long sleeve Armani Prive gown Hugh Jackman is so hot, what is he doing with frumpy and strange-looking Deborra-Lee Furness? It must be love! Hilary Swank nailed it on the red carpet as usual in this sparkly Gucci gown with the feather details Wow Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz on the red carpet together! She is one hot mamma just a month after giving birth! Of all the fab Christian Dior gowns out there, why did Nicole Kidman choose this one? We hate the hair too! Helen Mirren perfect as usual in Vivienne Westwood Yay Halle Berry is back! This Marchesa gown was hot hot hot on her! Camila Alves went for simple and but still high drama with the full skirt. We love this look for her Christian Bale's girlfriend Sandra Blazic is the perfect date as she looked elegant without upstaging him with her dress Sandra Bullock in Vera Wang, we don't know why, but we are not excited, although there is nothing wrong and she looks good! Reese Witherspoon having a sixties moment in black Armani Prive Anne Hathaway in classic Valentino red. Gorgeous!
Maybe we were too excited about the Oscars and all the build up to the event, but we were kind of disappointed with the red carpet last night. We weren't totally amazed and blown away as usual! There was a great mixture of nudes, metallics, bright colors and strong black gowns, but nothing cutting edge or special. The girls who really stood out for us were, Gwyneth Paltrow, Halle Berry, Anne Hathaway and of course Mila Kunis, who had to be the night's best dressed...do you agree? Who did you love and hate? Ali Larter just had a baby so we kind of forgive her Jenna Elfman's white bra strap is showing from her black dress! Sharon Stone's amazing breasts look completely droopy! Hailee Steinfeld was the only one who kind of looked cute and she is the youngest celebrity of the bunch! Vera Wang looks like an emo stick insect. Eat something! Heather Graham looks like she was rented off the street! Katie Cassidy just landed from outer space Amy Adams was okay, but boring Milla Jovovich was only meh....ok.... what's with the funny face? Paricia Arquette is going to pop someone in the eye with her too-tight jacket buttons. Plus - is she a burglar with those gloves on?
What went wrong yesterday at the Hollywood Reporter party? Stars who are usually perfectly styled came out looking like total hot messes on the red carpet last night. Almost every single star had something seriously wrong with their outfits, from Milla Kunis right through to Katie Cassidy. Shocking!

9. Sharon Stone probably thought she was bang on trend with this leather dress and she is right, leather dresses are hot right now, just make sure they are flattering to your figure! This polo neck isn't doing her any favours!

8. We said it earlier this week, we don't know what Jessica Biel was thinking with this very ruffled lacey Oscar de la Renta dress! On her it looks totally old granny and not in a cool vintage way either! 7. We wish stars like Thandie Newton, who have gorgeous bodies, would stop hiding in shapeless sack dresses! This dress does nothing for her! 6. Demi Moore needs to start dressing for her age, this gold and black dress just doesn't work for her. It s on Jessica Alba or Kim Kardashian maybe, but Demi is bordering on silly trying to be edgy! 5. To understand how wrong this dress is for Rosario Dawson, its best to see it from the back! The slit is pulling at her butt making her look much bigger than she is and the shoulder detail is not flattering either. This looks home made! 4. Oh no Padma Lakshmi, want happened to your hair?! We are so sick of Taylor Momsen trying so hard to shock us! Style is supposed to be effortless and cool. But in this see-through and less underwear with the red eyes and the SLAVE necklace she just looks totally overdone and cliched! Move on Taylor!
We can't believe the bad fashion from this week. It was a mess of celebs trying to hard and what came out was disaster of disaster. We realize it was Halloween, but none of these outfits from stars like Sharon Stone, Demi Moore or Kat Von D were supposed to be costumes as far as we can tell...
