List: Eight Female Stars Who Say They Aren't Feminists!

Thursday 9:04 PM, 13/02/2014
Lady Gaga
“I’m not a feminist. I hail men, I love men, I celebrate American male culture -- beer, bars, and muscle cars.” Gaga later told the LA Times she is a "little bit of a feminist". Madonna
“I’m not a feminist, I’m a humanist.” Taylor Swift
“I don’t really think about things as guys versus girls. I never have. I was raised by parents who brought me up to think if you work as hard as guys, you can go far in life.” Kelly Clarkson
"No, I wouldn't say feminist — that's too strong. I think when people hear feminist, it's like, 'Get out of my way, I don't need anyone.' I love that I'm being taken care of and I have a man that's a leader. I'm not a feminist in that sense." Demi Moore:
“I am a great supporter of women, but I have never really thought of myself as a feminist, probably more of a humanist because I feel like that’s really where we need to be." Carrie Underwood
"I wouldn't go so far as to say I am a feminist, that can come off as a negative connotation. But I am a strong female." Sarah Jessica Parker:
"I took a page from Wendy Wasserstein's book. She said 'I'm not a feminist, I'm a humanist.'"
Feminism is a hot topic around the world, but there are several women in Hollywood that refuse to call themselves feminists. We've taken a closer look on eight of them, and heard what they've had to say. Click on the pics and read all about it!

Lindsay Lohan had the chance to play the stripper Jade in the Hangover movies, but she turned it down because she thought the script had no potential. Bad choice!
Jake Gyllenhaal had the chance to get the male lead role in Avatar as Jake Sully, which later on became the highest grossing movie of all time. He said no, and the part went to Sam Worthington instead.
Rachel McAdams was offered the lead role in The Devil Wears Prada, but turned it down because she wanted to do more serious work. Anne Hathaway got the part instead, which we think she did great!
John Travolta was offered to play the lead role in Forrest Gump in 1994. He turned it down and has later on revealed he regrets his decision.
Gwyneth Paltrow was director James Cameron's first choice to play Rose DeWitt Bukater in Titanic, but she turned it down and the part went to Kate Winslet instead.
Katie Holmes initially offered the role as Buffy in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but Katie chose to finish high school instead of taking it.
What if Sarah Jessica Parker never got the part as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City? Or if someone else would've been Buffy in Buffy the Vampire Slayer?
