Roman Polanski is Hollywood film director who grew up in Europe. His mother and father were both held in concentration camps during World War 2. Roman began his career in 1950's as an actor, but moved to directing and Hollywood during the 60's. Roman Polanski's wife Shannon Tate was murdered in 1969. Polanski fled America in 1978 after pleading guilty to the statutory rape of a 14 year old girl. His most famous movies are Rosemary's Baby and Chinatown.
