Oscar or Academy Award of Merit is the name of the statuette that is given out and symbolizes actors, directors, producers, writers and technicians. Oscars Season is here, officially! Actress Anne Hathaway and the President of the Academy of Motions Pictures Arts and Sciences (phew), Tom Sherak, announced all the Oscar nominees last night! No real suprises either, George Clooney was nominated for best actor, Meryl Streep and Sandra Bullock for best actress and of course Avatar is up for multiple awards, as is Inglorious Basterds!
