Poor Oprah Winfrey has not had very good luck with her dogs over the last year! Her favourite dog Sophie died last year of kidney failure, and now Oprah is grieving the loss of one her new puppies, Ivan. Oprah adopted spaniels Ivan and his sister Sadie, from PAWS animal shelter just last week. Oprah says that both puppies have a deadly virus and little Ivan didn't make it, but Sadie is being given the best care available, so hopefully she will get better soon!(OK!)

The big O is getting involved in the Rihanna, Chris Brown scandal. Oprah Winfrey sent out a special message to Rihanna on her last live show. Speaking directly into the camera Oprah told Rihanna. "love doesn't hurt and he will hit you again!" Oprah feels so strongly about what happened to Rihanna she will dedicate a whole week of shows to domestic violence this month. Tom Cruise just revealed that he regrets his outburst on The Oprah Winfrey show in May 2005. But the actor also points out that the media's backlash brought him closer to his wife Katie Holmes. Tom agrees he should have controlled himself better during his appearance on the show. He jumped up and down on the Oprahs's sofa as he expressed his love for Katie Holmes and was extremely ridiculed for his behaviour. "There are things that I could have done better", he says. "I could have handled things better. I was surprised at the criticism. As a father and husband, you want to protect your family and tell them not to worry because it is all going to be OK." According to Tom Cruise himself, this whole backlash brought the family closer as he tells the Daily Mirror: "Going through that stuff is not pleasant and I think it hit an extreme, but Kate's a very sure and confident and strong woman. You just learn from it and move on. I have a blessed life because I have a happy family and children that I adore and everyone knows how I feel about Kate. It just brought us even closer together".

The normally so mediashy Jennifer Aniston has revealed that her romance with John Mayer is back on track. The couple rekindled their relationship last month after the singer dumped her in August. But Jen reckons they needed time apart to work out what they wanted. "You hit a place in a relationship and you both realize that we maybe need to do something else, but you still really, really love each other," she said on Oprah Winfrey's show. "It's painful. There was no malicious intent. I deeply, deeply care about him; we talk, we adore one another. And that's where it is."

The country music superstar revealed, "There is someone I do support, but I don't support publicly. I lose all respect for celebrities when they back a candidate. It's saying that the American public isn't smart enough to make their own decisions," she explains. "I would never want anybody to vote for anything or anybody just because I told them to.
