Oasis was formed in Manchester by Liam Gallagher (vocals), Paul Arthurs (guitar), Paul McGuigan (bass) and Tony McCarroll (drums) and was originally called "The Rain". Liam's brother Noel Gallagher was also quick to join the band (guitar and vocal). Oasis' big breakthrough didn't come until May 1993 though, where Alan McGee, Creation Records co-owner, spotted them. The band released their debut album, Definitely Maybe in September 1994 and became the fastest selling album within the UK, at the time. Oasis has today sold over 50 million records worldwide.
Fifteen NME Awards, five BRIT Awards, nine Q Awards and four MTV Europe Music Awards.

Disappointed fans
Iconic rock band Oasis cancelled their concerts in France this weekend after singer Noel Gallagher quit the group! We hear a massive fight broke up between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher after Liam joked that Noel was not the real father of his daughter Anais, after a huge argument between the two, Noel stormed off saying Liam's comment was unforgivable. The brothers are famous for their heated arguments, but this time it looks like it really has gone too far, as the band held a press conference yesterday before getting into their private jet and apologised to fans who had paid for tickets for their European tour. Could it really be the end of Oasis?!

Ashley Tisdale left the Oasis Nail Spa in Toluca Lake after getting a pedicure and relaxing foot massage. Rather than wearing flip flops out of the salon, Ashley wore her black leather boots as she headed to her Range Rover. We really love her lavender-blue shirtdress!

Ashley got some shopping done! Ashley caught up on her gossip! Ashley's nails were bright pink after her visit to the nail spa!
Ashley Tisdale spent an entire day out in Los Angeles yesterday shopping, pampering herself and getting a good workout! Ashley started her day at the Oasis Nail Spa where she caught up on some gossip and got her nails and toe-nails painted light pink. The HSM star then headed to the gym for a workout wither her private trainer. When Ashley was done sweating she grabbed her Amex and headed to Indexx for a shopping spree! It's not easy being famous!

Really cool stage! The crowd loved it! He was pleased that it all went according to plan!
Jay-Z is one of the most financially successful hip hop artists and entrepreneurs in America and after yesterdays performance at the Glastonbury festival, he is also one with real guts! When it was announced that Jay Z would be performing at the festival this year, the Oasis's brothers voiced their disapproval at his invitation since it has traditionally been a guitar driven event. Jay Z therefore opens his set with a cover version of Oasis's song Wonderwall, very clever Jay-Z!

It might not be very surprising that Liam Gallagher was photographed on his way home from a pub but what is he doing there in the middle of the day?! Liam gestured wildly to the photographers as he strolled home from a pub in Primrose Hill in London and seeing as the sun was shining we assume it wasn?t so late in the day. Liam isn't as famous as he was a while back but it seems like he's still just as rock and roll as he was back then. Luckily he seemed sober but you never know!
