Some celebs have the perfect style on and off the red carpet. Like Claudia Schiffer, she's pap'd almost every morning and always looks great! Other celebs like Amanda Seyfried understand that simple is best when going casual. And then there are other stars who sometimes miss the mark a bit. We really love leopard print, it's one of our favorite trends. Adding a hint of leopard print to an outfit gives instant glam and we're all over that! But what about zebra print?

Zebra print is a modern take on the classic leopard print. We think zebra print has a certain edge to it but it can easily look over-done. We really like the idea of adding a bit of zebra to our wardrobe, either through a scarf like Courteney Cox or a purse like Nicole Richie, but we're not really crazy about zebra print pants or a zebra print maxi dress. One of summer's biggest trends is the bohemian look. There is just something about summer that makes you want to wear loose fitting maxi skirts, sandals, and billowy shirts that blow in the breeze. Dressing in the summer should require as little effort as possible but looking chic should still remain your goal. :)

We think Nicole Richie has perfectly managed that fine balance between bohemian and chic. She manages to look completely effortless in her flowing, printed dress but her style integrity is still in tact. We've taken a few pointers from Nicole on how to reach this perfect summer style.

Do
- Go long! Maxi skirts and dresses are so hot right now! They're perfect paired with gladiator sandals or a few bangles!
- Choose light weight fabrics like cotton, which will give you the maximum amount of comfort on super hot days!
- Pick patterns! Pick one patterned piece to be the focus of your outfit and build around that piece with neutrals like a jean jacket or a simple t-shirt.

Don't
- Raid your Grandmother's closet! Use your granny's closet for clothes from the 40s, 50s, etc but not for the bohemian look. That crochet crop-top she made is not cool and never will be cool!
- Go granola. Like we said, there's a balance with bohemian chic, and while you want to look effortless you should still make an attempt to put together a nice outfit. Wash your hair, do a double take before leaving the house, and take off one accessory before stepping out the door.
- Drown in fabric! Even though the look is all about free-flowing clothes try to throw on at least one fitted item whether it's by belting a cute dress or choosing sandals that wrap around your ankles, this will give your body shape and structure!
