Nicole Richie is the celebrity who became known primarily through her friendship with Paris Hilton and documentary The Simple Life, but now managed to carve out a career as a model, designer and singer in the rock band Darling. She was adopted at the age of two by Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson is her godfather. Together with singer Joel Madden, she has a daughter and another on the way. Nicole Richie would not describe herself as a celebrity, but think it is the fans who created her.

Nicole Richie has done a real 180 since her wild days but she's still paying the price for her extreme error in judgment. Yesterday she returned to the Van Nuys traffic school for yet another driving lesson and it seems as though the young mommy has really grown tired of it now! Nicole looked pretty annoyed and she would probably have preferred to be at home with Joel and baby Harlow!

After a long week of filming the movie Labor Pains Lindsay finally got some time off to spend with her girlfriend Samantha Ronson. After eating lunch at a local hamburger place the girls visited Nicole Richie's Glendale home and then stopped by a bookstore in Studio City. Though the ladies have been spending a lot of time apart since LiLo got a job, it's obvious they're still really tight! After all, absence makes the heart grow fonder!

Hollywood stars must really love Cartier because when the exclusiv jewelry brand hosted their 3rd Annual LOVE DAY Celebration to celebrate the launch of their new LOVE bracelet everyone from Chloë Sevigny to Nicole Richie showed up on the red carpet. Everyone was dressed up to the nines but we love Fergie's short grey and white dress and black patent leather heels! Nicole Richie wore a long dress, once again, and we're starting to wonder if she's hiding something under there?! Baby number two perhaps?! Other celebs that showed up were the gorgeous Bridget Moynahan, Hilary Duff and Janet Jackson.

Will & Grace actress Debra Messing looked radiant on the red carpet at the 2008 Crystal Lucy Awards held at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills last night. In a long black and white patterned dress, smoky eyes and a simple hairdo Debra definitely had the best red carpet look! Nicole Richie also wore a long dress but her blue flower-patterned dress looked more like a tent than anything else and was a little too big for the petite star (we did however like her snakeskin bag). Other celebrities who showed up at the award show were Salma Hayek in great black and white shoes, Cameron Diaz in a pretty summer dress and Jada [url=/pink]Pinkett[/url]-Smith in a tight metallic grey dress.

"We did it!! Nicole and I finally got married". That's how Joel Madden's latest blog entry starts (www.goodcharlotte.com) but if you scroll down he continues, "Haha, just kidding". The American gossip magazine Star recently reported that Joel and Nicole Richie have planned a two million dollar wedding and since Joel has been getting phone calls from family members wondering why they weren't invited he chose to set the record straight on his website. It seems we'll have to wait a while for Joel and Nicole's wedding!

An unusually colorful Nicole Richie was spotted arriving to her driving lesson in Van Nuys with the first coffee of the day in her hand. With gold gladiator sandals on her feet and braids in her hair Nicole looked very hippie-chic and wasn't wearing a single black garment (the bag doesn't count)! Maybe the pint-sized Hollywood star wears as much color as she can when she's not with boyfriend Joel Madde; we're sure his passion for the color black rubs off quite easily!
