Michael Jackson, died 25 June 2009 in Los Angeles, was a legendary singer, performance artist and songwriter. He started his career as a child in The Jackson Five together with his brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon. Michael Jackson 9 brothers and sisters in total. Two of his sisters Janet Jackson and La Toya Jackson are both famous artists in their own right.
Michael Jackson's album Thriller (1982) has sold more than 100 million copies and is the world's best-selling record of all time. The King of Pop has also had 13 number one singles in his solo career. The cost for producing his video "Scream" was over 7 million dollars, a world record so far and the music video "Ghosts" is 35 minutes long, also a record. Jackson was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame twice, once as a solo artist and once with The Jackson Five.
Jackson was married to Elvis Presley's daughter Lisa Marie Presley (1994-1996) and to Deborah "Debbie" Rowe (1996-1999) with whom he has children Prince Michael and
Paris Katherine. Michael Jackson also has a second son, Prince Michael II, who is called
Blanket. It's not known who the mother is, but MJ claimed that he was the biological father of all his children. Actor Macaulay Culkin is the godfather to the two eldest children.

The hysteria around Michael Jackson's dead never seems to cool down. After a lot of back and forth, it now seems that the Michael Jackson memorial service at the Staples Center today will take place and will be a star-studded affair. Everyone from Mariah Carey, Usher and Stevie Wonder to Lionel Richie, Diana Ross and Martin Luther King III has promised to be there. Michael Jackson's long time friend Elizabeth Taylor won't join the memorial though, as she claims it's too painful and that she "cannot be part of the public whoopla." Debbie Rowe, mother to the two eldest children, won't take part either. Moreover, the family has decided to provide a free live video feed to networks so it would be televised everywhere. Fans without tickets to the memorial are being asked to stay away from downtown Los Angeles and watch the service on television. Some lucky fans were yesterday chosen by random lottery for Jackson's memorial and arrived at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles to pick up their tickets. (Source: CNN)

Michael Jackson sure got all eyes on him right now. Even Madonna payed tribute to the Michael's death during her show in London at O2 by performing some of his songs which she introduced by saying "Let's give it up for one of the artists I've ever known!" as the crowd went wild.

A mysterious van was spotted this morning... Is Michael Jacksons body in this van seen arriving at Forest Lawn Mortuary? A coroners van arrived at the gates of the Forest Lawn Mortuary Park where Michael Jacksons funeral is reportedly to take place on Tuesday morning. Police patrol cars were also seen patrolling outside the Mortuary.

After the sudden death of legendary Michael Jackson, his public memorial has been planned the last few days. It was first meant that fans were going to be charged $25 to take part, because of the expensive chest that Michael is going to be buried in. But it has been announced that the Jackson family has backed down because many outraged fans and they don't want to loose face with them. CNN has released exclusive footage of Michael Jackson rehearsing for his big London Comeback concerts just 2 days before his death! We hear there are over 100 hours of video footage documenting Michael's preparations for the show, which are going to be made into a documentary. There are mixed feelings about the footage. Debbie Rowe, the biological mother of Michael Jackson's two eldest children Prince and Paris is causing drama! After giving up her parental rights when she and Michael divorced way back in 1999, Debbie now says she wants to step up for her children. Debbie says that she and Michael had an agreement that he would take care of their children, but now that he has died, that agreement is broken and Debbie is willing to fight for her rights. Michael named his mother Katherine in his will as his 3 children's guardian, but Debbie says she is going to court to get custody of her kids and also says she wants to accept custody for Michael's youngest son Blanket.
