New dad Matthew McConaughey returned to work in Venice yesterday after his girlfriend Camilla Alves gave birth to baby boy Levi a few days ago. Even though the new parents probably have their hands full with the baby Matthew looked just as relaxed as always and even flashed a smile for the photographers!

The time has come for first time parents Matthew McConaughey and Camilla Alves to reveal their son's name! It's a little Levi Alves McConaughey. Matthew tells OK!,how the name came to mind - "Levi was another name for the apostle Matthew in The Bible. They were, in fact, two names for the same person. "Our son was born at 6:22 pm, and this particular time represents my favorite verse in the book of Matthew in The Bible: 'If thy eye be single, thy whole body will be full of light.'" Baby Levi's middle name is taken directly from his mother Camila's last name. "We wanted to incorporate her family name," explains the proud new father. Matthew and Camilla have also released the following statement: "We welcome Levi Alves McConaughey into this wonderful life and look forward to living in it with him. In the mean time and all times, just keep livin'."

Proud papa to be Matthew McConaughey held on tight to his very pregnant girlfriend Camilla Alves in Malibu yesterday afternoon. The expecting parents enjoyed a relaxing afternoon together at a movie screening at their local movie theater. Camilla looked great in a pretty knitted dress and a clutch in her hand and it was obvious how close she is getting to her due date!

A paparazzi in Malibu who was trying to take pictures of actor Matthew McConaughey on the beach the other day has told police that he was attacked by a group of surfers. According to the paparazzo a group of surfers came up to him and told him to leave the beach. When he refused, one of the surfers took his camera, threw it in the ocean and then struck the photographer. Malibu residents have long had problems with paparazzi photographers and especially during the summer. According to reports, McConaughey was not involved in the fight.

It being such nice weather in Malibu, California, Matthew McConaughey decides to treat himself to a bit of surfing. And boy are we glad. The hunk is looking absolutely edible in his surfing shorts and no T-shirt! Gosh, if only he was single!
