One of the saddest aspects of the entertainment business is when parents start leeching of their famous kids. Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester has just been forced to file a lawsuit against her own mother over allegations that she misused the $7,500 monthly allowance Leighton set aside for her sick younger brother Lex.
TMZ.com managed to get their hands on the lawsuit, and in it Leighton claims that her mom used the money for cosmetic surgery, Botox injections and hair extensions as well as tried to squeeze even more money out of Leighton by lying and saying that they had an oral contract in which Leighton was supposed to pay her $10,000 every month for the rest of her life. Leighton has now hired lawyers to set things straight, but we do wonder if she'll ever be able to set the emotional side of it straight...
We're speechless! Poor, poor Leighton.
