She was born in a hospital adjacent to the prison where her mother served a ten-year sentences for serious drug offenses. Only when Leighton Meester was ten years old, she could be reunited with her mother. They moved when, along with her brothers, to New York where Leighton Meester began to model. She is currently working on her debut album said coming out in autumn 2009.

Leighton Meester wasn't as her character Blair in Gossip girl. According to Star-magazine her mother was in jail during the pregnancy and after Leighton was born they lived in an apartment in jail for three months. Then Leighton moved to her relatives. Also Leighton's dad, grandfather and aunt have been in jail. We are happy that things are going so well for her now!

Blake Lively, Chace Crawford and the rest of the Gossip Girl cast are now back in New York City to film new episodes for the TV-show. That means summer vacation is over for Blair and Serena's group of friends and we're guessing Season 2 has a whole lot of drama in store for us! Rumor has it that Nate Archibald, played by Crawford, has a new love interest played by actress Mädchen Amick who some of you may recognize from the TV-show "Freddie".

Leighton Meester was cute in a green and white flowery dress and a wide pink belt when she bicycled around the set of the hit TV-series Gossip Girl yesterday afternoon. The Gossip Girl cast has been taping scenes for the show in The Hamptons outside New York but the set has now moved to Long Island. Oh, and if you're wondering who the guy in the blue jacket is talking to Leighton in these photos, we don't know, but we?re looking forward to finding out when Gossip Girl starts again in September!

Like we said, the entire cast of Gossip Girl is in the swanky Hamptons outside of New York where they are busy taping new episodes for season 2 of the popular TV-show. You saw Blake Lively earlier and here's Leighton Meester wakling around outside her trailer in jean shorts and a t-shirt. Leighton looked happy as usual, she seems to always be smiling, and we guess it could have something to do with the great weather! We hope Leighton got some free time to go tanning!
