8. Katie Holmes went for safe, classic style and it worked for her in this Azzedine Alaia dress with frilled skirt! She looked elegant and classy with a little bit of sexiness thrown in the mix!

7. We are loving Evan Rachel Wood's style lately and this sparkly green one shoulder cocktail dress is a good example of why! The colour shows off her gorgeous red hair and beautiful pale skin and her accessories give her some funky edge!

6. Charlize Theron is the queen of effortless style! She makes it look like anyone can throw on a pair of jesns, a t-shirt and a blazer and look chic! With those killer boots and that funky bag, she certainly can!

5. Writer and actress Kate Saunders made a statement on the red carpet with this detailed blue mini-dress and matching silver bag and shoes. She looked classic and perfectly groomed, well done!

4. We love the way Lauren Conrad blends pretty with business so perfectly! She looks soft and boho and at the same time clean and no mess no fuss! She is definitely a rising star in the fashion world!

3. Its so nice to see Gossip Girl's Taylor Momsen in something other than black! She looked lovely in this nude Versace gown with her dramatic eyes and flowy hair, love this!

2. Emmy Rossum wowed on the red carpet in this gorgeous golden gown. We have never seen this girl put a fashion foot wrong and would love to go shopping with her, just stunning!

1. Actress Lake Bell went for old Hollywood glamour at the Whitney Museum party this week and it worked perfectly for her! She was really on fire in this red satin dress and softly pulled back hairdo.

Its been an eventful week for movie premieres, charity balls and celebrity events, so we had no shortage of beautifully dressed stars to choose from this week! We are happy to welcome Katie Holmes back onto the list after a long time away from the glamorous life, there are a few regulars on the list this week too, like former The Hills star Lauren Conrad who never disappoints us with her style and a newcomer hits our list with the top position!

You can clearly see which stars are Donatella's favourites, as they were all there on the red carpet and wearing her gowns! Donatella is famous for denying certain celebrities the privilege of wearing her clothes because she doesn't think their image suits her brand, but that has never been a problem for stars like Mischa Barton, Jennifer Hudson, Shakira and Gossip Girl's Taylor Momsen, even Lindsay Lohan,who were all there and glammed up!

Last night was a real who's who in the fashion world on the red carpet for the annual CFDA Fashion Awards
at the 2009 at the Lincoln Center in New York! Many designers arrived with their favourite celebrity clients as dates too. Michael Kors arrived with his BFF Heidi Klum, Jason Wu with Diane Kruger, Anna Sui with White Stripes rocker Jack White and the Rodarte designers arrived with Kirsten Dunst. Supermodels like Agyness Deyn and Doutzen Kroes were also everywhere to be seen as well as Vogue legend Anna Wintour. Everyone looked absolutely gorgeous of course, very high fashion!
