Katie Holmes attended a Gala Event in New York for Independent Film-makers last night. She looked nice enough in black satin with gold accessories, but she was her usual sad-looking self. She couldn't even manage one bright smile for the press! Her husband Tom Cruise was nowhere to be seen, are these two really in trouble at the moment, or was Blockbuster film actor Tom, just not invited to the event? We think both reasons are likely!
