The Vanity Fair Oscar's After-Party is almost as famous at the Academy Awards themselves. It is especially great for stars who haven't been invited to the Oscars, like Uma Thurman. She was all over the cameras, posing and giggling, she actually looked a bit drunk! We almost didn't recognise Madonna with those weird new cheek implants either! It was also nice to see Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer so sweet together!

This is the real reason we are interested in Oscar Night: the red carpet! Seeing who wore what and how well is always so exciting! We think Anne Hathaway looked simply elegant while Sofia Loren and Miley had a few too many frills! Everyone had their eyes on Brangelina and Jennifer Aniston, but Jen decided to skip the red carpet! Here they are, Oscar nights most important stars. The big winners are Kate Winslet for best lead actress, Sean Penn for best lead actor, Penelope Cruz for best supporting actress and Heath Ledger for best supporting actor. Slumdog Millionaire won for just about everything else, taking best director, best film and best music. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button won for best makeup and art direction. Congratulations to all!

The British version of the Oscars, The Orange British Academy Film Awards were held at the Royal Opera House in London. It was pouring with rain on the night though, so celebs had to either find an attractive pose with an umbrella or brave the wet weather. Who do you think did the best job handling the rain?

Kate Winslet has received a whole lot of attention during the award season thanks to her work in the movies The Reader and Revolutionary Road. The actress won two (!) Golden Globes and since she's as pretty as she is talented we suppose we just have to accept that some people are born with the whole package!
