Jimmy Choo was launched in 1996 when Tamara Mellon, Accessories Editor at British Vogue, realised the potential demand for stylish and wearable shoes and approached Mr Jimmy Choo, the couture shoe maker based in London, known for his excellent craftmanship. They partnered and opened their first stand alone boutique on Motcomb Street, London. Two years later they opened their first boutique in New York.

The Cinema Society of New York city held a special screening of a new movie called A Single Man, it is the latest project from fashion design icon Tom Ford, so as you can imagine, many of New York's best known celebs were there! Madonna was one of the guests at the screening and everyone could see she was dressed to impress! Madonna has recently moved back to New York City after her divorce from British director Guy Richie and we hope this means we are going to be seeing much more of the queen of pop on the city's social scene!
