Monday 1:08 PM, 31/01/2011
The Screen Actors Guild Awards happened last night at the Shrine Auditorium in Hollywood. If the red carpet is anything to go by, we...READ MORE ▶
We loved Natalie Portman in this white, godess-like strapless gown by Azarro. A look fit for a winner! Nicole Kidman is almost always elegantly chic, this Nina Ricci was great for her body. We loved this floral belted gown by Louis Vuitton that Claire Danes wore too! January Jones took a break from her go to designer Versace and wore Carolina Herrera for the first time. We have to say it, she looks a lot more classy than usual, but much older too.... Kim Kardashian loves her dramatic fashion and this detailed Marchesa gown is perfect for her! Glee star Jane Lynch has been wearing gowns on the red carpet this season instead of her usual pants suits. At first we loved her girlier look, but this purple layered gown is a bit much! Julia Stiles kept it simple and fuss free, without being boring in this blue-toned Monique Lhuillier dress Sofia Vergara is a bright bombshell in this blue Cavalli gown that hugs her curves in all the right places! Angie Harmon's pink Monique Lhullier gown has definitely been seen on the red carpet before....oops! Glee's Amber Riley was all glammed up in black with frill details Glee star Jenna Ushkovits goes gold! Breakout star Jennifer Laurence stood out from the crowd in this hot pink Oscar de la Renta dress with the black bow-belt. Naya Rivera shows off her body in this nude gown that looks as if it was poured onto her - hotness! Winona Ryder looked like an awkward bride in this white tiered dress Amy Adams went for a clean, draped against the body, white gown by Herve Leroux. We were not crazy about her hair like this, she looks too severe. Rosario Dawson fresh as a daisy in lemon yellow J.Mendel! Helena Bonham Carter in another kookie-cool look. This one by Marc Jacobs. Hilary Swank is near perfection in Versace! Maybe a different lipstick could have livened up the look a bit though...? We thought this Romona Keveza gown was a bit awkward on Heather Morris, she should wear a younger, funkier style! Leah Michele from Glee showing off some serious skin in Oscar de la Renta! Jenna Fisher could've made so much more effort with her color choice and hairdo. Smiling big helps too! We are in love with this red printed strapless gown by Alexander McQueen on Mila Kunis. This is probably our favorite of the night! Eva Longoria went super-sexy in this daring cut-out Georges Hobeika gown Winnder Pas De La Hueta has a style all of her own and she was really rocking this bronze gown! Glee's Dianna Agron is the perfect lady in this dark blue sparkly Chanel tea-length dress. Jayma Mays in Jenny Packham. Sweet as usual.

How to Wear Winter Hairbands

Saturday 3:33 PM, 04/12/2010
We are still in love with Nicole's gold head piece from her House of Harlow collection. This can be worn over and over again for so many party occasions! Keep your ears warm with this chic turban-style headband ala Ashlee Simpson You don't need a full tiara to feel like a princess, a sparkly headband like Lauren Conrad's does the trick just fine! Retro-chic as well as a great girly balance to a menswear outfit. Amanda Seyfried is a clever dresser! Add some drama with a feather, Milla Jovovich often wears headbands to accentuate her gorgeous features! The princess of street cool! Peaches Geldof rolled up a bandana and turned it into a fashion forward headband and turned up the glam with bright red lips - genius! January Jones shows off her signature style - blending retro-chic with modern basics
Who said wearing hairbands was just an accessory to wear with your pretty Spring/Summer outfits! This winter with the retro and vintage trends in full swing and lady-like less is more style, headbands are like added jewelry and add a simple and clean-cut glamour to complete a look! Here are some examples of how to wear headbands over the party season and wintry months straight from the star fashionistas we know you love!

Style Tips: The 1950's are Back!

Sunday 10:18 AM, 21/11/2010
British model Daisy Lowe usually has a punky mix and match look, but she gives herself a flam makeover with a 1950's feel dress and pretty heels. She has kept her rough hair and glam-rock makeup look though. A great combo for her! Women had curves in the 1950's and at Louis Vuitton's Autumn/Winter 2010 runway show, models like Laeticia Casta were chosen to walk the show to show off the sexier, softer 50's sihouettes. Laeticia looks like a real woman and isn't normal runway skinny and it started a trend! Curves are back in fashion! Dita Von Teese has created her personal style around the 1940's and 1950's and she always looks so beautiful with her hair and makeup perfectly done. She also accesorises her looks in a smart way. Add a touch of the 50's to your look with vintage jewelry and sunglasses, a wavey hairdo, red lips and ultra glam nails. Sophia Vergara is smoking hot in the sparkly Louis Vuitton 50's-inspired dress. Even in this lady-lake cut she is super-sexy! A nice change from the obvious short and tight party dress! Always ready to try out a new trend Rachel Bilson looks adorable in this pretty belted print dress, also from the Louis Vuitton Autumn 2010 collection. Eva Mendes was sweet and sexy in this retro-feel swing skirt and ponytail look recently. We love how she has combined the really modern nude trend to keep it fresh and right now. Milla Jovovich was a total knockout in this 50's-inspired gown at Cannes earlier this year. We love how she is wearing a rough-edged almost mo-hawk hairdo with the ultra-glam and feminine multi-textured dress! Swing skirts weren't the only popular silhouette in the 50's. The tube style, belted dress like Maggie Grace is wearing here, were also hot back then and they are just as hot right now. Again its all about modernising, you don't have to look like you have raided your granny's closet to look 1950's glam! We adore the way Gwyneth Paltrow styled up her Louis Vuitton! First of all the cut-out neckline is very sexy and defiinitely brings this look into 2010 and then her hair! Its all chic and neat in the front and then towards the back it goes a little punky! Nicole Kidman makes such a pretty 1950's housewife! She proved that in her movie "The Stepford Wives" and here she has kind hinted back to that look with the fabric and cut of this dress. Pumps and stillettos are also a must for the 50's!
The 1950's will always be remembered as a breakthrough time for fashion. Christian Dior became famous and as a major luxury brand and he his tight waisted dresses with full and shorter skirts became the major trend of the time. For the first time ever, clothes were made around the taste of younger women and after the war there was a big move towards glamour and spending money on looking beautiful. Older women chose more hour glass shapes and younger girls wore big swing skirts and everyone was dressed up smartly all the time, with full makeup, pearls and heels!

The hit TV series "Mad Men" starring Christina Hendricks and January Jones has inspired many fashionistas and designers, especially Louis Vuitton's Marc Jacobs to bring back these lady-like styles with an updated, modern twist of course! Whether you want to go full on like Dita Von Teese or just have a hint of 50's glamour like Eva Mendes and Maggie G. We have the inspiration for you!

How to survive the winter in style!

Thursday 2:40 PM, 04/11/2010
Swedish superstar Noomi Rapace knows that it's a smart thing to put on a lot of clothes, even on the red carpet! She combines ja leatherjacket with some fur details which makes the outfit even warmer. The hat is just perfect too! Long dresses are good, and you can fit some warm pants underneath it too! A short, colorfull, jacket makes an outfit a bit more fun, just as a bright looking bag! Nice work Mary Kate och Alshley Olsen! Chloe could be one of the hottest looking women walking around in high heels. In this leopard outfit she looks both warm and cool, having a high lines sweater is great for colder days! The nice necklace makes her even more bang on trend then she already is. Blake Lively is cleaver and puts a nice blazer over her shirt, classic and chic! Fearne Cotton goes for the classic too, and adds a little fun detail with the bow tie! A blazer is really good when you want to look sharp but still keep warm as you can wear a lot of layers underneath! Nicole Richie knows that a knitted dress is just perfect for winter! Buy a lot of different colors and you never have to have a wardrobe crisis in wintertime! The russian supermodel Natalia Vodionova is exremely trend in her black outfit consisting of a pair of black, wide, pant and a seventies inspired sweater. The belt is a nice touch too! In this type of outfit you will not just stay warm, you'll stay trendy too!
Lily Cole is cleaver and puts a light coat over her lovely dress. Take inspiration people this is cool and warm! Ashley Olsen miss matches with check printed pants and a leopard printed scarf. Looks good! A scarf is a quick way to feel warmer. January Jones looks cosy, cosy, cosy in her amazing grey fur! A garment you can buy (fake) in most high street stores!
We know, it's horrible! The winter is coming and soon the snow will be all over the streets...or not but it's definitely going to be really cold! In order to survive this cold season you need a lot of clothes, and they should preferably be quite warm too.

But just because we want to be warmly dressed does not mean that we want to walk around like huge snowballs in enormous padded jackets. No! We want to be able to party in style and at the same time not feel like living ice cubes! Here is some inspiration for you from some celebrities who has succeeded with just that!

This Week's Worst Dressed Celebrities!

Monday 2:33 PM, 06/09/2010
8. This nude dress is doing nothing for Kim Kardashian's figure, you would think the lace-up front would help suck it all in, but instead, its making it all hang out. Also those shoes are a little too much with the dress don't you think? 7. January Jones shocked everyone at the Emmy Awards last Sunday by showing up with a bed head, this really did nothing for that already questionable dress. The color was lovely for her, but that shorter in the front with the train in the back plus the seashell texture was totally overwhelming her, even though it is Versace! 6. We don't actually mind this bandage dress on Kat Von D, we think she is totally brave wearing it, although we think her breasts needed a little support, but the real problem here is her makeup. We know she loves a little goth-chic but really! This look is totally scary on her! 5. Poor Toni Collette. This could have been such a pretty dress, but there are two problems. Firstly it doesn't fit properly on the top and there is a big problem on the bottom too. What was supposed to be an interesting and pretty pattern, just ends up looking like the dress has been dragged through mud before it hit the red carpet! 4. Real Housewives reality TV star Teresa Guidice looked cheap in this little white off the shoulder dress. The fringes look like they have fallen out; the straps don't work with the off-shoulder detail and her hair looks like a bad wig - not pretty! 3. Why is Christina Ricci wearing a table cloth? Seriously that looks like a home needlework project gone wrong! Not even her Chanel bag and leather jacket can save it! 2. Tom Hanks' wife Rita Wilson showed up to the Emmy Awards looking like an old lady in this white retro dress with the jewel overhanging stuff and those Prada shoes are just way too much! No Rita what went wrong?! 1. Kate Hudson showed up at Heathrow airport in her pajama pants! The worst thing about it is that she tried to disguise them with a blazer and fancy shoes! We understand that people want to be comfy for long flights, but really Kate this is not okay, especially not for a celebrity!
Its a sin to dress badly when you are a celebrity, especially if like Kim Kardashian and January Jones, you have access to some of the best designer dresses and Hollywood stylists! Here are some of the worst fashion messes of the week!
