Anne Hathaway was amongst several celebrities who chose to celebrate Halloween along with high end fashion label Lanvin at their Halloween Extravaganza Masquerade Ball held in New York City this Friday!

It's no real surprise that die-hard fashionista Rachel Zoe made an appearance, you can always trust her to want to celebrate the holidays in the most fashionable manner possible! The most unlikely guest of the evening was however the usually camera shy Janet Jackson who showed up in a very odd half masculine and half feminine costume...

NYC MET Gala - Stars All Out Last Night!

The annual Costume Institute Gala Benefit a the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City took place last night and as usual all of fashion and Hollywood's biggest names were there dressed up in all kinds of beautiful and glamorous couture creations! Designers like Stella McCartney brought along famous friends Kate Hudson, Liv Tyler and Maggie Gyllenhaal and they rubbed shoulders with hot couples like Sienna Miller and Jude Law and Gisele Bundchen and her husband Tom Brady. We really do get excited when so many of our favourite celebs are on one red carpet and looking this fabulous! Enjoy the pics!

This Week's Worst Dressed Celebrities!

8. Is Emma Watson trying too hard to be a fashionista? Too many trends in one dress, lace, metallic flowers and leather! Tone it down Emma, we already love your style, you don't have to go crazy to make a fashion statement!

7. Something is really off about this outfit on Whitney Port. We can't quite figure out if its the cut, the colour, the hair or what, it just doesn't work for her at all!

6. Its been a bad few weeks for Jennifer Love Hewitt and her fashion choices! She still hasn't changed that unflattering hairdo and this dress is not flattering for her pear shape. Way too sparkly and not enough chic!

5. What is Tina Fey wearing? We know she is a comedienne, but really? Bright yellow plastic boots and a stiff formal jacket? We just dont get it!

4. When is Janet Jackson going to break out of the 80's fashion rut she is in? She is always wearing the same outfit! The jacket with the big shoulders, the belted waiste and the wide pants. Its over already Janet!

3. Katherine Heigl's bright red satin dress was a little bit too cute and sweet for our tast on the red carpet, but then the fit was so bad on her bustline that the whole dress came apart while she was on stage. No excuse, fail!

2. Another case of bad fit! Its never okay to bust out of your dress like this, as Jane Goldman did at a premiere in London this week. We can also see her breast padding! Not pretty!

1. No this is not America Ferrera dressed as her character Ugly Betty, its just America in a hideous outfit! This makes her look like a much older, less stylish lady, we have no idea what she was thinking when she decided to put this on!

Sometimes the stars seem to get dressed in the dark! We don't get why they make the fashion choices they do, especially when the clothes are totally unflattering or don't even fit properly! Here are this week's worst fashion fails!

Even when you have a fashion icon for a mother, she can be embarrassing! Just ask Vivienne Westwood's son Joseph Corré! His mom attended the runway show for his new fashion brand "Child of Jago" yesterday alongside other fashionistas like Janet Jackson and when a piece of clothing was left on the catwalk after the models has walked, Vivienne, like any mommy, picked up after her son! She hopped off her seat on the front row and picked it up, making everyone giggle! So cute!

Alexander was great friends with famous British hat designer Philip Treacy, who makes a lot of Lady Gaga's head pieces!

Yesterday we told you the tragic news of British fashion designer Alexander McQueen's death. More details have been released since yesterday and it has been announced that the designer hung himself in his London home just a week after the death of his beloved mother. Friends say Alexander was very fragile and so close to him mom, he just could not deal with losing her. So sad!

Alexander Mcqueen started his fashion career at 16 when he became a taylor's apprentice in London. He then went on to graduate from London's famous school of design, Central St,. Martins, where his student collection was bought by Tatler Magazine style director Isabella Blow, who helped him launch his career and the two became best friends until Isabella's suicide in 2007.

Alexander Mcqueen won many awards for his amazing fashion design's in his career, he has been named British designer of the year 4 times and has designed for famous fashionistas like, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Sarah Jessica Parker and Janet Jackson. Lately he has also designed some of Lady Gaga's crazy outfits! Many of his famous friends have sent out their messages of sadness and love for him.
