Well this is depressing news! Our favorite hipster couple, Zooey Deschanel and Ben Gibbard, just announced that they are divorcing. Zooey is the current star of TV's "The New Girl" (so hilarious!) and Ben is the lead singer of the amazing bands Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service.

Ben had a long term crush on Zooey, "I'd seen her movies and obviously I thought she was very beautiful" and their mutual music manager introduced them (Zooey is part of the band, She and Him). They married two years ago, but we guess that even a love for music wasn't enough to keep them together. Zooey and Ben say that their split is mutual and that no third party is involved.
