For the past three years, Jennifer Hudson, has been really quiet about the horrifying murders of her brother and mom. But Jennifer has started to talk about what happened and why she was able to survive. In an interview with Ebony magazine, Jennifer revealed that she escaped the murders because of her fiance, David Otunga.
David lived in Florida at the time and Jennifer lived in Chicago, so she spent a lot of time visiting him. "I flew out to see him; that's why I'm still here. I've never said that before, and I can't believe I just said that now", Jennifer says. If Jennifer had been in Chicago during the time of the murders, who knows what would've happened. Jennifer is afraid to talk about the murders, she says it's brutal to relive it, but describes the experience as "surreal." Stay strong Jennifer, we're still think of you three years later. (people)
