Twitter has grown to be one of the best ways for celebs to converse with their fans and vice versa, so we're not surprised that Twitter was almost shut down when millions of fans congratulated Beyonce and Jay-Z on their new baby! Even other celebrities tweeted their congrats like Rihanna and Gwyneth Paltrow, but the girls from Beyonce's former band, Destiny's Child stayed silent.

Beyonce's fans got really angry at the former Destiny's Child members, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland! Michelle said, “Let’s get ONE thing straight.. I do NOT have to say congrats to someone when they’re NOT EVEN ON on twitter… ESPECIALLY when I talk or email them all the time. Or when I’ll be physically present as well. My friendship with people aren’t always for twitter.” We have to side with Michelle on this one, she's totally right! (thehollywoodgossip)

@momo: why would she? To please you or other
people she doesn't even know? Some things are
better said and done in person, Giving birth is a
private moment, accepting congrats from friends
too. You know, there were times when there was no
Facebook or Twit

Of course she's right. Who in their right mind
would rather congratulate their close frend on
twitter when they know they will be seeing their
frend in person or can just as well call them
directly. Some pple r jus pathetic!

I agree with Holly and Dimps. Why would she do it
on twitter? It would make it sound like she can't
be bothered to say it in person.
