Heath Ledger, originally from Australia, was a talented actor who acted in movies such as A Knight's Tale and Brokeback Mountain. Heath was found dead in january 2008 after an overdose of prescription drugs; he was only 28. Was married to actress Michelle Williams and had a daughter, Matilda Rose, with her. Heaths best friend was Jake Gyllenhaal who is also Matildas godfather. Heath will be missed by his colleagues as well as his fans.

Here they are, Oscar nights most important stars. The big winners are Kate Winslet for best lead actress, Sean Penn for best lead actor, Penelope Cruz for best supporting actress and Heath Ledger for best supporting actor. Slumdog Millionaire won for just about everything else, taking best director, best film and best music. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button won for best makeup and art direction. Michelle Williams and one of her friends held on tight to little Matilda Rose Ledger who was seen hopping through the streets of Brooklyn after visiting a local café. It's hard to look at Matilda without thinking of her deceased father Heath Ledger who is tipped as the winner of the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor this year. Williams has said that if Ledger wins, the Oscar will be given a special place in Matilda's room. The Academy Awards will take place in the end of February, don't miss them!

The Golden Globes took place last night and the stars turned up in true red carpet style! The Mamma Mia-crew couldn't be more happy when the good news reached them: "Mamma Mia" has beaten the Batman movie "The Dark Knight" - one of the biggest successes within the film industry. The Abba musical has now stolen the first spot on America's movie most rented movie-list. The now past away Heath Ledger who stars as the Joker in Batman, has helped the movie to keep its first spot as the best selling movie. "The Dark Knight" has also been out in the stores for a longer time, so it's rather normal, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Batman sold over 13, 5 millions of copies only the first (!) week, incredible! But last week the crew got to see "Mamma Mia", based on the musical with the same name, beat them on the list.
