Golden Globe

The Golden Globe Awards are presented annually by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association to recognize outstanding achievements in the entertainment industry (movies and TV-shows). Since 2005 the jury consists of 86 Hollywood-based journalists. After The Academy Awards (movies) and The Emmy Awards (TV-shows), The Golden Globe is the most important prize.

Jack Nicholson and Meryl Streep have the most Gloden Globes; Nicholson has 7 and Streep 6. Jack Lemmon has the most nominations; impressive 22!

Hard to believe that rocker chic teen Taylor Momsen and a Hollywood classic like Goldie Hawn would have the same taste in clothing, but guess what, they do! Both blonde bombshells who this glam Dior dress this month! Goldie wore hers with black gloves, a white fur stole and silver shoes to a movie premiere and Taylor wore it simply wiht a gold bracelet and tiny handbag for a Golden Globes party. 9. Mischa Barton knows that polka dots never go out of style and we love this cute little playsuit she wore to a Cinema Society event this last week. We are so glad Mischa is back on the social scene, its always fun to watch her style choices! 7. Even when Chloë Sevigny wears a Little Black Dress its never boring! This is not necessarily our favourite look for her ever, but we do love the sparkle and the netting detail on this Christian Lacroix dress, she looks like glam ballerina! 6. Marion Cotillard stayed true to her French roots and her vintage-inspired personal style with this sexy Christian Dior gown at the Critics Choice Awards last week. This girl always looks so relaxed and elegant, no matter what she is wearing! 5. Fergie looked radiant in this lilac gown at the Golden Globe Awards this last week! It was so refreshing to see her in something romantic instead of her usual hard and futuristic Black Eyed Peas style! 4. Newcomer Kesha is definitely making a name for herself as the latest IT girl of rock with her songs and her fashion! We loved everything about this rock chic outfit she chose for the NRJ Music Awards this weekend! 3. Vanessa Hudgens lived up to her reputation as one of our favourite fashionistas in this silver bubble-skirt Alberta Ferretti party dress! What a perfect look for her! 2. Emily Blunt definitely made a great fashion choice for the Golden Globe Awards in this pink Dolce & Gabbana strapless gown! It was gorgeous with her skin and makeup and she accessorised it perfectly with silver. She was definitely one of the best dressed ladies of the night! 1. Everybody is talking about Avatar star Zoe Saldana right now and its not just because of her hot Avatar in the movie! She has been showing off impressive red carpet style at all the events she has attended so far this awards season, but this white Jason Wu is one of our favourites! We also love the fun leopard print detail on her pumps! Congrats Zoe your'e no.1!
With Awards season in full swing there have been plenty of fashion high moments to choose from this week, although we do kind of wish some celebs would take more of a risk like Chloë Sevigny does. We also have to give Sarah Silverman a special mention for finally making an effort with her red carpet appearance, its about time she embraced her inner stylista! This week's no.1 is not really a surprise to us as we have been noticing her great personal style for a while now, take a look and see who she is!

8. Julianne Moore is at a tough fashion phase in her career right now. She is not a young Hollywood starlet anymore, but she is still gorgeous, so its tough to be age appropriate and fashion forward - we get that. This strange orange contraption, doesn't show off her beauty at all, it ages her and makes her look tired and saggy! 7. Oh no Taylor Momsen, not again! When your skirt is so short your can't take two steps in it without flashing everyone, you know you have committed a fashion crime! We really hope Taylor will soon learn the difference between edgy fashion and slutty style choices! 6. Actress Keri Russell is taking a risk here by wearing famously edgy designer Alexander McQueen. This trapeze dress drowns her and those sandals cut off her legs at a very unflattering place. Not her best look! 5. This white and silver dress Rihanna chose to wear this weekend in Cannes for the NRJ Music Awards actually looks like two totally seperate dresses - fighting with each other for attention on her body! We are not feeling this look at all! 4. French singer Sheryfa Luna in yet another harem pyjama look! We have already warned her once about this kind of look and how unflattering it is for the red carpet, there is no excuse for committing the kind of fashion crime twice! 3. Oh no Ashley Olsen we expect more from you than this! We know fashionistas love to experiment with fashion, but the "Bride of Frankenstein" look should only ever be brought out at Halloween! 2. We are not really sure what kind of statement Camilla Belle was trying to make with this swinging retro Valentino mini-dress... we just can't find anything good to say about it, this whole look is unflattering, from the hair to the big bow at her waiste! 1. Kanye West's model girlfriend Amber Rose has done it again! She has shocked us with her ability to choose outfits that make her look slutty and unsophisticated over and over again! What is this girl thinking?
We are back after a little bit of a Fashion Police break and while we were gone there have been some huge crimes of fashion, especially with fashionistas trying to get noticed on the red carpet and at fashion week. When are they going to learn that being noticed for bad taste in clothes is not the best idea?! Just look at what Ashley Olsen, Camilla Belle and Rihanna decided to step out in this week! Justin Long was Drew Barrymore's date to the Golden Globe Awards this weekend where she won her big award and the couple were looking very sweet together all night! Yesterday they celebrated Drew's win with a fun day out in Los Feliz, but they got caught in the rain! No problem for these lovebirds though, they just stopped at the nearest gourmet deli for a bit of lunch to wait it out! They are so sweet together!
