Golden Globe

The Golden Globe Awards are presented annually by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association to recognize outstanding achievements in the entertainment industry (movies and TV-shows). Since 2005 the jury consists of 86 Hollywood-based journalists. After The Academy Awards (movies) and The Emmy Awards (TV-shows), The Golden Globe is the most important prize.

Jack Nicholson and Meryl Streep have the most Gloden Globes; Nicholson has 7 and Streep 6. Jack Lemmon has the most nominations; impressive 22!

Emily Deschanel from "Bones" can you tell that she just had a baby a few months ago? Rachel Zoe in an ill-fitting dress with gross sleeves. Menswear done right: we love the pop of red on Evan Rachel Wood's lips against the black and maroon of her suit. The gorgeous Kate Beckinsale. Ashley Benson in a little white dress. Kinda boring, but also cute. Why would Jaime King ever wear such an ugly dress? It's not very well made, the color is terrible, and the fabric is so offensive! We love Miranda Kerr, but we don't really love this dress. It reminds of a child's birthday party. The great Tilda Swinton in a very Tilda Swinton outfit. Jessica Alba is so gorgeous!
We loved all of the fashion from the Golden Globes, we can't get enough! Some of our favorite stars were spotted at the Warner Bros And In Style after party looking seriously fierce. Our favorites: Emma Stone and Jessica Alba. Click on the pics to see more from the after-party!

Elle Macpherson stuns in Zac Posen. George Clooney and Stacy Keibler- yes they're still together. Her dres is pretty but really boring. Sarah Michelle Geller in Monique Lhullier. It looks like her 2 year old daughter picked out her dress...oh wait she did! Zooey Deschanel in Prada. At first we didn't like the look, but it's grown on us and is totally Zooey. We love her hair too! Charlize Theron was on the best dressed list in Dior Haute Couture. Salma Hayek in Gucci. Selma looks like an art deco goddess. We love Mary J. Blige but it looks like she's wearing a teddy bear and the top of her dress doesn't fit so well. Claire Danes went for simple in a black and white J. Mendel gown- we love it! What we love even more, the bare back! Nicole Richie wears Julien Macdonald. We're not crazy about this look. It looks a bit like tin foil.
We love the Golden Globes, they're like the Oscar's cool cousin who dresses extremely chic but also really trendy. The Golden Globes are bit more relaxed, way more fun, and are a total party. Since the pressure of winning an Oscar isn't a factor, you can tell that all of the celebs are having genuine fun. One of the things we love best about the Golden Globes is the fashion! There are some serious hits and some even more serious misses. Like Angelina Jolie stepped out of her usual black and stunned a white and red Atelier Versace number, whereas Sarah Michelle Gellar made us cringe! Spring fresh in Christian Dior and gold accessoires. We love that she experiments with makeup as well! This lace and high-wasted pant and bra combination was a huge trend this past Fall and Leighton is definitely one of the main reasons why! She is a fan of the mini dress and is often seen showing off some leg on the red carpet. She is also the queen of the perfect party dress! This one by Versus was on our "must-have" list over the Christmas past season! Leighton isn't a fashion victim, but also isn't afraid of trying a trend. Once she finds a shape that suits her, she identifies it and wears different versions. Nothing wrong with that! We love her in these sleeved mini-dress and booties! Ultra feminine Leighton was one of few stars brave enough to rock the menswear trend! Once again, Leighton stood out from the crowd at this year's Golden Globe awards, in this unusual Burberry gown.
