George all out of it and still driving! He can still rock a stage though!
George Michael spent his first night in jail last night! The singer arrived at the Magistrate's court in London yesterday and was shockingly sentenced to 8 weeks in jail, effective immediately, and ordered to pay a fine of £1,150 for his driving under the influence of prescription drugs, cannabis and alcohol in July. As everyone knows this is not George's first DUI arrest, so we don't really get why he was so surprised at his jail sentence, let's hope he gets it together and won't have to go behind bars again! George Michael Pleads Guilty to Drug Possession!

Singer Michael George appeared in court this week and pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis and driving under the influence. George checked himself into rehab following his car crash in July of last year and is now breaking the silence thru an open letter to his fans on his website.

"I want to thank you all sincerely, and also to reassure those of you who worry so much for me. I fully appreciate the seriousness of my current situation, for which I truly apologise (...) Personal problems which I had tried to deal with myself had clearly got the better of me, and I am sorry that my pride has prevented me from seeking help before now".

George will appear in court again in September to hear his sentence and may face prison time but we just hope this acts as a wake up call for the singer and that he can recover now! (Source: Wenn)
