Gabourey Sidibe is an American actress mostly known for her role as ?Precious? in the movie ?Precious?. She grew up in Brooklyn with her mother and father. Her mother is a gospel musician and her father a cab driver. Gabourey Sidibe has also a role in the movie Yelling to the Sky, a Sundance Lab project directed by Victoria Mahoney and starring Zoe Kravitz, in which she plays a bully.

Last night's Oscars red carpet was not only a super-star studded event with Hollywood's hottest stars like Jennifer Lopez, Demi Moore, Charlize Theron, Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz a of course George Clooney all walking the red carpet, it was also a fashion fest! Most ladies went really dramatic with heavily detailed skirts with frills, lace, sparkles and feathers everywhere! Our favourite moments? Twillight stars Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart on stage, Miley Cyrus' presenting of course! Who is wearing your favourite dress? We loved Sarah Jessica's retro Chanel gown, so simple and stunning with the jewelled flowers!

The Orange British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA Awards) were held at the London Royal Opera House last night and it was a big night for the stars! Even HRH Prince William was there to be apart of the glitz and glamour. Our favourite moments? Harry Potter star Bonnie Wright and her new boyfriend Twilight star Jamie Campbell Bower hitting the red carpet together as the hottest new young couple in showbiz! Another Twilight super-star, Kristen won the special BAFTA prize for "Rising star" and even though her rumoured boyfriend and Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson was there to support her, the couple stayed far away from each other while the cameras were around! Mariah Carey appears in a new movie produced by Oprah Winfrey called Precious. The movie premiered this week at the AFI Festival in Hollywood and the red carpet was packed with Oprah and Mariah's star friends! The atmosphere on the red carpet was super fun and full of love as Mariah and her husband Nick Cannon couldn't keep their hands off each other and this inspired everyone else, like Oprah and Mary J. Blige to be all affectionate with their dates too!
