Farrah Fawcett was an American model and actress. She got her first break after posing in a red bathing suit for a poster which sold more than 12 million copies! Because of this poster she was cast as one of the original Charlie's Angels in the famous hit tv show from the 1970's and Farrah's career took off and she became America's Sweetheart for many years! Farrah was diagnosed with intestinal cancer in 2006 and finally died from the disease June 25, 2009.

Farrah Fawcett Loses Cancer Battle

70's icon and original Charlie's Angel Farrah Fawcett died yesterday after a long struggle with intestinal cancer. Farrah's long time partner Ryan O Neal was with her in the St. John's Heath Center in Santa Monica at the time. The two had planned to get married, but O Neal says there was no time as Farrah had been too ill in the last few weeks. She spent the last few months of her life filming a documentary about her fight with the illness. Friends and family plan to honor her memory with a funeral service at a Catholic cathedral in Los Angeles in the next few days. (Source: People)
