Dr. Dre, born as André Romelle Young, is today considered to be one of the greatest hip hop producers in music history and a pioneer for the gangsta hip-hop. Dr. Dre is not only a producer though, but he is also a rapper himself, a record executive and an actor. He is thought to have popularized West Coast G-funk which is a style of rap music characterized as synthesizer-bass with slow and heavy beats. Snoop Dogg and Eminem are two among many others who have worked with Dr.Dre successfully.
