As many of us know, Demi Lovato has a dark past of bulimia, self injury and drug-addiction. She has explained many times how extremely grateful she is to have Selena Gomez in her life, who she considers to be one of her closest friends. “I’m very lucky to have someone like her in my life.” Demi entered into a rehabilitation center to seek professional help to cope with her battle with cutting a couple of years ago and it was very valuable for her to have a close friend during that process.

But the problem i that Selena has little patience and tolerance for Demi's sort of self-destructive behavior. She recently said: “I believe in second chances, but I don’t believe in third or fourth chances. I love talking through things, and I always want to make things work, if I really love someone, but eventually, if they can’t fix whatever is wrong, or if they’ve done something and then they continue to do it, they’re probably not going to change for anybody. You can’t change a person.”
