Comeback girl Demi Lovato appeared on Ellen DeGeneres' Talk Show yesterday, and obviously, her personal breakdown last year was the main topic of discussion. Demi confirmed once more that she has truly come a long way since then, and added that she's now looking to be a role model for other teenage girls! She also highlighted the importance of seeking help and support in others and said that it's doubtful that she had even been alive today, or even less been able to sit down for interviews if she hadn't sought treatment.
Demi shared with the viewers, "There was nobody out there for me to look at and say maybe this is unhealthy. I want to be that for a 13-year old girl at home deciding whether or not to eat dinner, or an 18-year-old girl deciding whether or not to keep her breakfast down. It was the time in the tabloids when very, very skinny girls were on the cover of every magazine, and that's what I was looking up to. That's what I had to idolize. I don't want that for young girls to idolize.
We like her a lot, but is she really ready to be a role model for young girls? Time will tell and we for one are rooting for her!
