Yesterday was Chris Brown and Rihanna's big day in court after his February assault on her just before the Grammy Awards. It was announced in court that Chris has reached a plea bargain with Rihanna's lawyers and that instead of spending time in jail as a punishment, he will attend 1 year of domestic violence classes, do 180 days of community service and pay fines. The judge also ordered that Chris stay away from Rihanna. He is not allowed to contact her in any way and may not come within 50 yards of her and at industry events it changes to 10 yards. Rihanna was also brought before the court to have the terms of this stay-away explained. Her lawyers asked for the stay-away to be dropped but the judge refused to that until August when Chris will be officially charged. So its pretty much all over now.
No jail time for Chris Brown!
