Last night the 2008 American Music Awards was held at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California. The list of celebrities was impressive! Big artists like Kayne West, Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Akon, Ne-Yo, Pink, Natasha Bedingfield, Nicole Scherzinger, Chris Brown and Alicia Keys were there. Young artists like Ashley Tisdale, Miley Cyrus, Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, Kevin Jonas, Corbin Bleu, Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift and Jesse McCartney also attended the huge gala. Rihanna was taken to hospital after she got ill during a gig. The singer was performing in Sydney, Australia, when she had to leave the stage. Probably the heat combined with her skin-tight costume caused her dehydration. Earlier the same day, Rihanna was seen with Chris Brown in the store David Lawrence. They still deny that they would be more than friends... But Posh24 talked to one of the salespersons in the store and she said "There was no doubt about it, they are a couple! They snuggled and couldn't keep their hands off each other!"

Rihanna is going public about her tough childhood in Barbados, living with a dad addicted to alcohol and drugs. The R&B singer, 20, says that her father left when she was 9, but she continued to look up to him until she hit puberty. "It was only in my teenage years that I started to get angry at him, maybe even hated him," she tells Live magazine. "I started to realize that no child should have to experience what I'd been through." They have since reconciled, and dad, Ronald, is regretful. "I will never forgive myself for what I did to my daughter," he says. "Unlike other dads who help their children with homework, I was out on street corners scoring more drugs."
