Chanel was created by the famous fashionista Coco Chanel. The Parisian fashion house is specialized in luxury goods such as haute couture, ready-to-wear, handbags, perfumery and cosmetics amongst others. Maison de Chanel has through successful years become to be one of the most recognized names in luxury and haute couture fashion. The well-known signature Chanel logotype (see picture), was originally founded by Coco Chanel and didn't become a trademake until the opening of the first Chanel stores.

Beyonce has arrived! The singer arrived in the South of France yesterday wearing a dress that was probably a little too warm and a sequined bag from Chanel on her shoulder. She left the airport in Nice with a huge bodyguard who attempted to block the photographer's shots of the singer! Jay-Z flew there on the same plane as his wife but, sneaky as they are, they left the terminal separately. Why are they always so secretive?!

Chanel threw a dinner party in New York yesterday in honor of the Tribeca Film Festival Artist Programme and it not surprisingly one half of the Olsen twins, Mary-Kate Olsen showed up on the red carpet! Liam Neeson, Zoë Kravitz and Christy Turlington were a few of the other celebrity guests and they were all decked out in Chanel (or so we assume). Mary-Kate was wearing an oversized jacket and a black dress and though it sounds like it would be a hit it was actually one of Mary-Kate's less successful outfits. We did however like the Chanel bag dangling from her wrist!

Harry Potter star Emma Watson recently turned 18 and celebrated it by having dinner with friends at the London restaurant Automat this weekend! Turning 18 is a big birthday for Emma since she now gains control over her Harry Potter fortune, an estimated £10 million, and is free to spend it in whatever way she wants to. The star however revealed that she has some help from her financial advisors and that she also has to take a class to learn how to be a responsible millionaire! We hope she treated herself to a birthday gift with some of that money!

Lindsay Lohan drew quite a crowd when she ate lunch with friend (girlfriend?) Samantha Ronson at Joans on 3rd yesterday. It seems the two really enjoy the food there since this was the second day in a row they had lunch at the restaurant! Lindsay was back to old habits (she had jeans on two days ago) and was wearing her leggings again with a t-shirt and her new Chanel sunglasses. When the friends finished having lunch a two-police escort walked them to their car, something you have to get used to when you attract as much attention as Lindsay does!
