Natalie Portman ties up the Cannes film festival!

The 61st Cannes Film Festival came to an end this weekend and when the last movie premiered there were only a handful of celebrities left on the red carpet! Robert De Niro, Natalie Portman and Benicio Del Toro stayed to see the award show on Saturday and they all seemed very happy with this year's festival. We've seen several beautiful dresses and even more beautiful people and we're betting most of the Hollywood celebrities had a pleasant stay in the South of France! The prestigious Palme d'Or prize went to the movie Entre Les Murs by Laurent Cantet so congratulations to him and until next year!

Eva Herzigova seemed to have a little trouble keeping her balance when she was getting off her friend Alberta Ferretti's yacht in Cannes yesterday! Dressed in a short red dress and high leopard colored heels Eva walked carefully off the boat and finally got some help getting to shore! Eva has been to most parties and premieres since she arrived in Cannes, each time in a new dress, and we really wish we could take a look in her holiday closet! We're sure to see more of Eva, and her fabulous dresses, this week and we're looking forward to it!

Swedish bombshell Victoria Silvstedt attracted a lot of attention in her peach colored dress and her platinum hair and model Lily Donaldson sure knows how to show off those incredibly long legs! Celebrities in Cannes are keeping very busy with all the parties and sometimes they?re forced to go to two parties in one night! That was the case yesterday when Sharon Stone, Juliette Lewis and Dita Von Teese attended the party that Fendi and Vogue hosted even though the amFAM AIDS gala was on the same night! Sharon and Dita are pros though so they even remembered to bring a change of clothes while Juliette Lewis wore the same dress to both events; we guess she was just to tired to care!

Lindsay Lohan took her girlfriend Samantha Ronson out to dinner at trendy restaurant/nightclub Le Baoli in Cannes yesterday night but had trouble getting through the mob of paparazzi stationed outside the club! Lindsay was wearing a cute beige glittery dress and in her hair was a very Lauren Conrad-esque braid that made LiLo look a lot more innocent than we all know she is! Lindsay took her girlfriend's hand as they went into the restaurant and we hope they had a nice dinner together!

The amfAR Cinema Against AIDS 2008 gala took place in Cannes yesterday and attracted a number of Hollywood stars! Natalie Portman, Sharon Stone and Petra Nemcova were just a few of the beautiful women in beautiful gowns who walked the red carpet and everyone seemed to be happy to be there. The event raised funds for AIDS research and we think that's great. Anything that combines charity with Haute Couture is fine by us!
