The O.C Stars - Where Are They Now?

THEN: Mischa Barton played Marissa Cooper, the spoiled upper class girl who fell in love with the troubled newcome Ryan Atwood. NOW: We thought Mischa would be the next big star in Hollywood, but we were clearly wrong. Ever since she left the show she's appeared in several straight-to-DVD movies but is most known for partying, a DUI, and other bad habits.

THEN: Benjamin McKenzie played Ryan Atwood, the troubled teenager who moved to Newport Beach. NOW: Ben has featured in some minor movies since "the O.C" and the TV series 'Southland'. He also has a university degree. Ben is reportedly single but has been linked to Zooey Deschanel. THEN:Rachel Bilson played the superficial Summer Roberts, Marissa's best friend. NOW:Now Rachel is known for being one of Hollywood's most stylish fashionistas. She has had a few guest roles in series like "Chuck" and "How I Met Your Mother.". She's engaged to Hayden Christensen and is now back on TV playing the lead role in "Hart of Dixie." THEN: Adam Brody played the nerdy Seth Cohen who was hopelessly in love with Summer. NOW: Adam featured in "Scream 4" back in 2011 and is starring in some minor movies right now. Adam plays drums for the band Big Japan. He was recently in the hot water when he confessed that he was partly responsible for Brad Pitt's split from Jennifer Aniston. THEN: Peter Gallagher played Sandy Cohen, the understanding dad, on the show. NOW: Peter has continued with acting and is has starred in movies like "Burlesque," opposite Cher and Christina Aguilera. THEN: Kelly Rowan played Kirsten Cohen on the show, the wife of Sandy and Seth's mother. NOW: Today Kelly is mostly doing movies and she's also starred in some TV shows such as "CSI Miami." THEN: Melinda Clarke played the manipulative Julie Cooper on the show, and she was the mother of Marissa. NOW: Melinda, who already had an acting career before "The O.C," has starred in some other TV series such as "Nikita." She's divorced and has one daughter. THEN: Tate Donovan played Marissa Cooper's dad on the TV series. NOW: Tate is no longer acting and has gone over to the other side of the camera. He's very succesful and has been directing episodes of both "Gossip Girl" and "Glee." THEN: During the third season of "The O.C" Autumn Reeser's character Taylor Townsend appeared on the show and joined as a regular the following season. NOW: Autumn is still best known for her role as Taylor, but has starred in some other TV shows afterwards. She played the role Lizzie Grant on "Entourage" during two seasons. THEN: Chris Carmack played Luke Ward, Marissas first boyfriend, on "The O.C." NOW: Chris has kept on with his acting career but hasn't done any big movies or TV shows lately. He's starred in episodes of "Desperate Housewives" and "Smallville." He's still modelling from time to time.
Today we're feeling nostalgic and thinking back to times when "The O.C" was everyone's favorite tv show. We loved Summer and Seth, they were so cute together! Back then we thought they'd all grow up to be huge Hollywood stars, but things didn't really turn out the way we believed they would. Converse? Seriously Adrian Grenier? If you do wear sneakers, you could at least chose black ones.. Benjamin McKenzie's white ones are shining! Robert Downey Jr's are actually kind of okay. But we can still see that it's sneakers. Ne-Yo matches his sneakers with his tie. Come on Samuel L. Jackson! Craig David can actually pull this look of with his basketball sneakers. All white. Brad Pitt has done his worst fashion disaster. Ever. Jack Black goes with the shiny white sneakers. Kanye West wearing white sneakers... not nice!
While our female favorite celebs wears expensive high heels to match their designer dresses, our male celebs aren’t as fashion conscious. Well, they do wear hot tuxedos while on the red carpet, but what about the shoes? These celebs have done the forbidden – they’ve matched their very nice tuxedos - with sneakers! Is Gossip Girl A Total Copy Cat?

Penn Badgley's character, Dan Humphrey, started out as a quiet loner... Just like Benjamin McKenzie's character, Ryan, did! Blake Lively's role as Serena van der Woodsen made her famous. And so did Mischa Barton's role as Marissa Cooper! Both girl's characters are young, rich, and troubled but they get saved by the "lonely boy." Blair was against Serena and Dan's relationship at first, but Leighton Meester's character later on changed her mind and even hooked up with him herself! Rachel Bilson was perfect as Summer Roberts. She too was against her friends relationship at first. Chace Crawford is the American dream in Gossip Girl. He hated Dan but now they're best friends! And Luke, played by Chris Carmack, is the O.C's "Nate." Remember how Luke couldn't stand Ryan at first? Not to forget, lonely boy's childhood friend, a dark beauty who wants to be more than friends. Jessica Szohr was Gossip Girl's version! And Navi Rawat's, Theresa, was the friend in The O.C.!
We love Gossip Girl, all the characters, the clothes and the drama! But we’ve noticed that it has a pretty similar story line to another one of our favorite series: The O.C! We've noticed some pretty big similarities and wonder if you guys have too. For example: the lonely guy from a less fortunate family falls in love with the rich girl and hangs out with all of her crazy, rich friends and at first the friends hate him, but eventually the let him in. Both Gossip Girl and The O.C have the same creators and it's a winning plot, but still it's not very creative! And even if Gossip Girl is a total copy cat, we think it's a lot better than The O.C!

Edward Norton Jon Favreau Benjamin McKenzie from the TV-show O.C.
Edward Norton and Liv Tyler's new movie The Incredible Hulk premiered in Los Angeles yesterday at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City. Liv looked great in a blue silk dress and high-heeled black shoes and looked very happy despite the fact that she is in the middle of a divorce! Actors Jon Favreau and Benjamin McKenzie of O.C. were also spotted on the red carpet! See the trailer here!
