Singer Ben Harper filed for divorce from his wife, actress Laura Dern last week and friends say even Laura didn't know this was coming! Ben claims that he and Laura have been seperated since January, but friends say they were still travelling together and acting like a couple, just last week!
Ben wants to refuse Laura any financial support in the divorce and he wants joint custody of their children Ellery, 9, and Jaya, 5. These two have been married since 2005 and we have to say we never really understood the attraction. Ben is such a sweetie and Laura seems so weird and boring. We are thinking she must have done something really bad to upset the gentle Ben into being so drastic with the divorce settlement! (Source: TMZ)
