Wesley Snipes goes to jail!

Actor Wesley Snipes was sentenced to three years in prison for tax evasion by a judge yesterday afternoon. The government claims that Snipes owes a total of $2.7 million in back taxes (though Snipes' attorney argued it was $228,000) and the three-year sentence was the maximum he could get. Letters written by Denzel Washington and Woody Harrelson were written in Snipes' defense but to no avail; this should serve as a reminder for all Hollywood stars that everyone has to pay their taxes! Singer Amy Winehouse was seen returning to her Camden home after visiting her boyfriend Blake Fielder-Civil in jail yesterday. The singer was very quiet and didn't really seem to mind all the photographers lined up outside her home. Amy is in the middle of recording the new James Bond theme song and has been nominated for three prestigious Ivor Novello awards but even though her career is going so well Amy still has drug and alcohol problems and her private life is a mess. We?re scared to see where it's all going to end!

Singer Pete Doherty has been evicted from his rented nine-bedroom country mansion after wrecking it over the past year. When the landlord came to check on the property he discovered that the walls, floor and even some windows were covered in human blood and the beautiful curtains had been ripped down. Reports say that Pete's "friends" have also been helping themselves to Pete's things since Pete himself is serving a 14 week jail sentence at the moment since refusing to enter rehab. The singer is now homeless and thousands of pounds in debt and we fear that Pete won't ever be able to turn his life around! Source: Showbiz spy.

Actress Sandra Bullock and her husband James were hit by a drunk driver on Friday night around 9:50 pm while being driven home. The couple were riding in a private car in Gloucester, Massachusetts when gray station wagon jumped lanes and crashed into the celebrity couples front end. No one was injured in the crash but Sandra and Jesse were obviously shaken up by the incident and were seen hugging on the side of the road before leaving the scene. The drunk driver, identified as Lucille P. Gatchell blew a .20 on the breathalyzer which is almost 2,5 times the legal limit and was immediately taken to the station. When told who she had crashed into she started laughing. This just goes to show that nobody is immune against car crashes, not even celebrities! Source: People.
