Alicia Keys is an American singer who started playing the piano at age seven and started writing songs at age seven. Her debut album "Songs in A Minor" has sold over six million copies. Besides being a musician, Keys is also a philanthropist. She is the Global Ambassador for Keep a Child Alive, a non-profit organization that provides life-saving AIDS medicines directly to children and families with HIV/AIDS in Africa.

America's First Lady Michelle Obama is right at the top this year, followed by French first lady and ex-model Carla Bruni-Sarkozy. As usual some Hollywood stars made the list. No surprises here, with Penelope Cruz, Anne Hathaway and Brad Pitt all being recognised for their amazing personal style, but Brad's other half Angelina Jolie, was nowhere to been this year! Last night the 2008 American Music Awards was held at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California. The list of celebrities was impressive! Big artists like Kayne West, Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Akon, Ne-Yo, Pink, Natasha Bedingfield, Nicole Scherzinger, Chris Brown and Alicia Keys were there. Young artists like Ashley Tisdale, Miley Cyrus, Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, Kevin Jonas, Corbin Bleu, Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift and Jesse McCartney also attended the huge gala. Alicia Keys arrived to Nice airport in France to go home. She was in Europe to attend and perform at the World Music Awards in Monaco.
